A trivial Io question that I haven't really understood: (Nonetheless, I'm Here)

When Sensei approached Io with questions related to her past, she dodged, reasonably so. But after some exchanges, Io went back to her cop-out answer and said things like "my cop-out answer is not in the way you might be expecting". What does that mean? Sensei pondered on her original answer and got confused even more when Io threw this extra metaphor, forcing him to dig through his brain to only end with his own generic cop-out answer and give up early.

At this point much of Io's unfortunate circumstances have been revealed, and it's almost certain that it'd be related to either her medication history or her sexually abusive mother. But, I still can't really tell what exactly she was referring to. What is the hidden layer underneath “I really did just wake up and walk to the bathhouse”? Wake up from a horrible nightmare? A medication-induced dizziness? Or is it the Walk part that requires some imaginations?

If I picture this in a more heart-wrenching way, I might guess that wizard Io maybe really did just wake up and walk here, one day deciding to run away and seek shelter. Or worse, she just aimlessly wandered around the streets in her broken state and, luckily enough, wandered into her aunt’s lair. It might happen when the border closed, or right before that. Either way, I feel like this is too literal to be referred to as a metaphor, so I’m wondering if this is in fact already hinted elsewhere.

I don't know what that word means, but there is no buildup in LoL. Just because nobody's getting laid doesn't mean something is bulding. Several characters were DTF on Day One. Where do you even "build" from there?
I'm sorry that other people have reacted negatively to your opinion on this game. On another post, you said you want to stick around. So if you don't mind, i want to share my experience with this game with you. It may also explain why other commenters feel strongly about your opinions.

Other people will say "if you are here for porn, go away. This game is not for you" and i agree with them. This game is not for everyone, but it could be the just right game for you. In a different time and a state of mind, give this game another chance. Because i'm glad that i did.

PS: Use AutoVN mod to get rid of both grinding affection points, and figuring out event triggers.

I was kind of indifferent on the fan fest but this is actually a waste of time, even if the commentaries are good and some parts of the side story are funny, and it doesn't help that the next update is dorm wars(even if there is reason to believe it wont be all fluff ie. Niki potentially finding out)

This could have just been a bunch of paid care packages and the subs would have still bought it, where update Sel.

If there is Yumi clussy on the other hand thought...

It will get an injunction put on it to prevent it going into effect almost immediately after signing by courts, then get tied up in the glorious American justice system where it will be in limbo for a long time. If it ever affects LiL, it won’t be for quite some time.

Your post got me thinking on Io a bit and i went and replayed the theme hospital scene again... man does it pay-off after stomachache, especially if you went through with fucking her, you can feel the growth between the two of them right at the end, almost like fucking her set a reference point they both want to use as a line, a point to grow from, not a point to bury themselves in... it ends up justifying sticking to the green path, anyone who chickened out doesn't get to experience that growth, they persist in the illusion... i have a strong gut feeling the red path for io will lead to a very bad outcome down the road, the false feeling of safety, that for the first time she wasn't abused meant she is now safe... except Akira's going to blackout at some point and rape her violently... shattering her mind completely... hope i'm wrong and i can't exactly see how Selly can keep both branches in the same story, but i can just feel it, it's the most obvious outcome when you pair the false sense of safety with a sexual predator who blacks out... what else could it even be?

Somewhere someone posted explanatory note to the law and there were stated that it doesn't affect "depictions" somehow. I'm not a civil lawyer and my evaluation may be 180 degrees wrong though

I love your thoughtful post here. Thank you. I was only kidding about sticking around this forum. I'll be gone whenever people stop responding to me.

I actually did not send my game to the recycle bin. I tucked it away in a cloud folder for abandoned games I may want to revisit someday. While it was difficult the first time seeing (and in MC's case "being") incompetent characters who never really pursue or get what they want, I realize that if I revisit the game a year from now, I may be okay with that. That's hard to imagine right now, but stranger things have happened.

At any rate, thank you for mentioning the VN mod. I did use it, thank God, and I highly recommend it.

You'd have to get used to that if you come back to it. One of my favorite scenes in the game is the MC roasting someone like that, but then points out she might have been right considering what happened.

I don't think its too literal really. "Woke up" is realising she can, then deciding to, run away/escape. Which could have been a relatively long process before she went through with it. And "walked here" is whatever path that decision lead her down. Not just the running away, but everything else that it brought about. Both the physical and the psychological/emotional aspects. I doubt it was as simple as walking to the bathhouse. Was probably a relatively lengthy process before she ended up living at the bathhouse wit her Aunt. Ignoring whatever the running away part entailed. Once she was found by Authorities, her Aunt, whoever found her. There would probably be; Possible legal stuff, Medical/Phycological evaluation, Therapy, etc. For her to go through. A pretty arduous process at the best of times. For a broken kid...Well...It certainly is more than a walk to say the least.

So unless I'm missing something, which I could be. I do think your last paragraph is mostly how I would read it.

Why are we getting called Sekai during happy events?
Hasn't been confirmed. Since I don't know how far into the game you are, beware the speculation below. Theories are as such:

I highly recommend you take a look at the care package about Io's future through text messages. It explores a lot about how she feels about being "assexual" through trauma, and how she's been working and keeps working to overcome it. I thought it was really heartwarming. There's also some funny bits about how she built a chair, and calls it the cuck chair, because she forces herself to sit and watch Akira having sex with Uta in an effort to desensitize herself :ROFLMAO:
