Is this something new?
Noriko and Yumi?

Is noriko finally doing a correct choice and choosing someone who is gonna love her back?
It is relatively new with how frequent Noriko "attempts to flirt with Yumi" nowadays, but it's just Noriko one-sided radiating her hormones; she still won't do the correct choice and Yumi is not gonna love her back either.

OH right, Yumi is against lesbos or something like that.

She's against sex she's only had bad experiences with it, just not Io levels of bad.

But less jokingly I'm pretty sure its just a general fear of making any connections with people rather than any specific distain for sex. But of course the forced Akira kiss and Nodoka thing probably didn't help her openness to such things.

Also, some people were posting about a Yumi Noriko ship, which is a fun enough idea. But alas, after this happened I was press-ganged onto the possibly platonic Yumi Makoto ship. Which I will now be serving on for the next 4 years. [Insert your favourite seaman or honourable/dishonourable discharge based jokes here if you feel the need]

Yumi is starved for affection and acceptance, she's just too afraid of opening up for it - and thus lashes out at any minor sign of caving.

It's a ladder to sex, but one that she has already started climbing, thankfully. She definitely wants it though, as she has masturbated to Akira plenty of times.

I've been verrrrry slowly chipping away at a second playthrough, sneaking away from family and obligations to play an event or two at a time. I just got to the onsen scene with Chika and Sensei says to her "But I can promise that I won't hurt you on purpose."

I know a lot of people in here don't like Chika these days, but I think it's really easy to forget the beats of their relationship due to how long it took to progress in real life, and how shitty Sensei ends up treating her. This poor girl.

I need stomachache for yumi
Nah, Stomachache hurts so much because it happened with Io out of all people. No other girl can have an event similar to Stomachache.

Io has that innocent-like aura around her, when she's alone with Akira. She was one of the girls that genuinely like and care about him and NOT his dick. Io's past is tragic and her recent confrontation with Nodoka also participated in this pain that Stomachache caused to most of the players.

But even if Sel decided to create a Stomachache event for Yumi, it wouldn't be very impactful. Yumi kinda always expects Akira to blackout around her, and Yumi has experienced some level of rape-like stuff from him. So, making Yumi experience this again would not be interesting from a storytelling perspective, because it has always been her for some reason. Also, for example, even if Akira decides to fuck Yumi just to show his love when she is extremely vulnerable (such as during 0.48 when they were at the love hotel), I believe that Yumi will either run away, breaking off their relationship again (And it will not happen, I believe, since Sel's writer ego won't let him repeat the same thing over and over and over), or accept it wholeheartedly.

Though I would like Stomachache-like event with any girl in LiL. But again, it wouldn't be as impactful as Io's Stomachache.

Yeah, the few instances where shock value matters is when it actually sucker punches you in the gut. Otherwise it's as cheap as a screamer.

I tend to agree, and it'd also be pretty contrary to the development of her story thus far. I also think it just wouldn't really make sense with Yumi - there was a twisted logic to what Sensei did to Io in Stomachache that you can't really apply to Yumi.

Considering how things have progressed with her as a person and with her and Sensei's relationship I don't really see how he could possibly conclude that doing something like that to Yumi would be positive or necessary, for her as a person or for their relationship together.

Well hey, he kept his promise. He wanted to keep her in blissful ignorance forever; her realizing the truth and breaking was totally unintended.

Moonflare's Quiz: "Who Said This?" #01

Welcome to Moonflare's first ever quiz, named: "Who said this?". The rules are simple, you have to guess the character that said the following quotes without cheating. None of these quotes are from Akira, cause that'd be too difficult.

So, look at quote, guess who said it, check the answer to see if you got it right, move to the next one (while keeping track of your score). Let's go!

Did you get them all? Maybe none? Was it too hard or too easy? Say something so I know if I should make this again sometime.
