Hi, how are you? I just wanted to let you know that I've been following the game and the thread for a while, about 3 years or so. Since there won't be a new update for a while, I decided to leave a comment and participate in the thread to make the wait more enjoyable. Also, your discussions about the lore and the theories you've shared have helped me better understand the story and characters of this game.
I apologize in advance if one or more parts of this message aren't entirely clear. English isn't my first language, and while I can read and understand everything you say perfectly, expressing myself in it isn't that easy for me. I hope we get along well and I can add something of value to the discussion.

You should avoid 0.49 until the next update at least (1 and a half months away). This update was some of the harshest trauma to hit the most innocent of cinnamon rolls, on green path at least. And if the darkest theory comes true, you'll probably want to wait even longer, even if the rest of 0.50 has got me kinda hyped if my reads are correct.
The 0.48 Yumi and Uta chains were sweet, even if it still had suffering in Yumi's case. Io gets a solid win in 0.49. Ayane lovers ate well in 0.49, and you'd probably have someone joining Ami in the tier list thanks to this update. TBD in 0.50.

To me that promise has only meant that the ending of LiL doesn't retcon the story of LiL to have never happened. If the setting itself is a dream / simulation that gives reason to why some people can break it.
There's also a LOT more 4th wall breaking moments from before CH4. Everyone was getting angry at Akira panning the camera away with his hand, but there's been a bunch of times where he's intentionally sharing and sometimes hiding the memories with the viewer, alongside other moments like speaking the Affection Increased dialogues at the end of events.

Welcome. As you must know by now, we're pretty friendly and I've noticed a lot of people here are not native speakers. I wouldn't worry about that, and speaking as a native speaker, I'm actually always impressed that someone is trying hard to speak my language, even if they get some things wrong sometimes. So don't ever be hard on yourself on that front.

I know most people didn't like the last update, but I thought it was okay. Especially because, for me, Dorm Wars have always been, let's say, minor events, almost bordering on self-parody. That said, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have higher expectations for this latest one, and I felt a little more disappointed with the final result. BUT! I'm convinced I'm "supposed" to feel this way. Just like Nodoka, and at the same time, this is a lesson for both of us. You can't break the world with "Trauma" alone, you also need "Blood."
What's more clear to me is that my expectations for the 0.50 are sky-high, especially for Nikki's events.

And I decided to write in this thread because I wanted to talk to more people about this game, which has become something more, a part of my life. As strange as that may sound, there aren't many other places, not to say there aren't any others.

I hate how accurate that analogy is.
I doubt that's even possible. I would have to get a real life or die for that to happen... or just be unable to touch a mouse and/or keyboard? The longer I wait, the more content comes out. I am stubbornly staying away until I get a craving or I run out of games to play.
Not planning to come back for a while yet... I'm still where I left off last, right before HOPE showed up at the rooftop, a scene I didn't actually read but recklessly spoiled through visual.
I'm not sure I like the sounds of that... Some of the harshest trauma? Should I demand a spoiler? Fuck it, hit me with it. I won't be back for a while so I might as well hear the most important detail.

Please rethink, if you go into the events (Nodokathon) knowing what happens it will be even more boring/annoying
Didn't that event already happen? Or is it happening again? Doesn't matter. If I will ever play the game again, I more or less have to be prepared for any major traumas that happen. I feel betrayed knowing there are deaths of beloved characters in this game. Death of memories and thus personality are still considered deaths. I asked on day one if there were deaths, I got a not so clear answer, I was betrayed.
Honestly at this point, I am willing to play any game on my extended list that keeps growing each passing week, but Lessons in Love? That's like asking me if I want to punched in the face... repeatedly. No kidding, this game is no joke and I consider myself pretty strong with a variety of topics.

I could recommend using text skip, unseen text and after choices on, with AutoVN out loud so if you don't hear the music change you know you're stuck on a menu. Christmas 2 starts with Wakana returning to your office to apologise after overdosing on the beach. Or if you miss it, at least during Christmas 2 you have the Customer Satisfaction Survey to auto pause on. You can then disable AutoVN in the settings menu, read the readme.Hello, Would anyone happen to know were I can find a few saves of LiL? I played it a very long time ago but Lost my save data. This latest playthrough I'm doing is my green run and (more to the point) the first time I've committed to Stomachache and I'm kind of curious if anybody else found it uncomfortably funny.
The goofy ass look on his face caught me off guard and it's really tickling me that his go-to move for showing her how loving and enjoyable sex could be was to double finger-blast her in the fucking throat
It's obviously a dark, horrible event and I feel bad but I've been chuckling to myself for like 20 minutes lol

It... kinda works in context and with first-time surprise. The first time I saw the event, his face made me shiver a bit, because in context, that's a predator you're seeing. But on replays, as you said, it's kinda goofy when you see it. The section after the black screen still triggers me, though, Io's face there fucked me up.

Yeah, I can't, sorry. I tried thinking about just seeing the screenshot without prior knowledge and finding it goofy out of context, but the subject matter is so strong that it still unnerves me.
I think that, as most things, people will feel more strongly towards certain scenes (for various personal and general things). In my case... not happy thoughts. Still one of the if not best events in LiL though (albeit one I try my best not to rewatch).

The event itself is amazing but I won't ramble about it seriously since even in the short time I've been here I know it's been talked to death lol if I do any more new playthroughs after this I doubt they'll be green.

For me, it was a mix of awkwardness and "something funny." Awkwardness because of Akira's smile, and "something funny" because of Io's expression. I think there's only one instance in the entire game where Akira's smile strikes me as not only genuine but also pleasant, and that was with Ami.
