I'm still genuinely in doubt about what that true ending would be. Like, would the purity routes be false endings? Like, illusions of happy characters? Like, IF no new characters join the cast, we'll have a total of 35 purity endings (each with 20-50+ events in each route), so would Selly really be willing to spend all that work on things that, in his view, would be almost the same as the ending of Everything is a Dream? (Considering that he himself has said that endings like that are for amateur writers) so I'm genuinely in doubt about what would actually be a true ending in his view.

Maybe it's Sensei slipping and experiencing alternate timelines? I dunno, I've been wondering about this a lot as well, along with how they'll be structured.
I don't know if it's possible, or even if it makes sense, but perhaps the "True Ending" is a combination or blend of the endings from each of the purity routes. Or maybe not the endings themselves, but some point in them.

The purity routes will be more of a retelling of events. What would happen if Sensei wasn't a man whore and commited to one character. After all the purity routes are done you get the true ending.
So basically its like:
Harem route + Dark route = Main Game
Purity routes = New Game +
True Ending = The secret ending you get after you do all the post game stuff.
Also Sel said the only ending that is set in stone is the ending of The Dark Route. So anything and everything is subject to change.

Is that something he actually confirmed? I don't remember him saying that would be the case. And if that's really the case, in my opinion, that, well, it could be quite boring in my point of view ;-;

I don't have screenshot of Sel saying it verbatim. But im sure there's one out there. But Sel said each purity route will have exclusive h-scenes and I believe he mentioned some charcters we haven't seen before might make an appearance. (If have to wait 5 years to see Rie. I will burn something to the ground)

Yeah, that's why I said about slipping, I figured the way he grew or something he learned from them or whatever would affect the overall outcome and lead to the true ending.
I'm very excited for them regardless but if they're a separate thing as opposed to everything being cohesive that's a little less interesting overall tbh

I have completed everything, but going back and playing again I realized I have no idea how to do the last few reset puzzles (besides sensei-quest) because I either had help with some questions or looked at the code for answers since I could NOT find where a lot of answers were. It's not very fulfilling to me just knowing the answers and not where they came from. if anyone could help with where the answers are supposed to be found for Times New Roman and Sonny Boy I would really appreciate it and probably enjoy the events more

The purity routes, along with the Harem and True Endings will ALL be cannon at the same time. (Timeline-wise, maybe at different times)

I honestly don't know what kind of "true ending" I would want for the story to have.
One option would be if it goes Code Geass style with Akira dying, but the reset is finally over and everyone can move on with their lives. Although just like in Code Geass, it could be left up to interpretation whether Akira dies or simply dissapears.
It would be a ending fitting for Akira. This is of course, assuming he managed to mend all the wounds that he and the world has inflicted upon everybody. If he simply dies or dissappears and the girls are still in the current state they are, then there is no chance they could simply move on, it would not be different from that last reset of chapter 3, where he stays in his room while everyone's life have gone to shit.
I honestly cannot imagine a different kind of ending. Happy endings are reserved for the harem and purity routes, and the dark route should be what is considered an evil/bad ending. So the taste of the true ending should be bittersweet.
Another option is "it was all a dream he had while falling to his death at the beginning of the story", it would instantly leave with a sour taste. There is a slight chance Selebus goes down that route out of pure spite.

Or imagine this: every single purity route exists in some sorta parallel reality OR every single purity route is inside the bigger cycle, which is resetting once in a few years or something. Then the reset is happening and so Sensei relives his life with another person.

How do you imagine a purity route if it's going to end up being reset? that's sad and not the way it will happen.
Here's a question for you.
If you've lived a life and suddenly you were to forget everything, is the old you dead and you are now a different person, or is it still you?
You have already seen it before, different Senseis who are different from each other but originated from the same vantage point somewhere in the past. One likes poetry, another likes football, another is a remorseless groomer, all of them shaped by circumstance, and are so different that you can't call them the same person anymore.
I've already said it before, but our current Akira is the chosen one, I think he has inside of him the memories of previous Akiras that were reset but never deleted.
When you start a new game of LiL, everyone forgets everything, but your save file is still there and you can make them remember if you chose to by loading it.
Scientifically, if has been proven that a person can be romantically "in-love" with two people at the same time, but in our story, there have been so many endless resets that he has fallen in love with every single girl at some point in the past, it's all just locked inside until he remembers again.
So when Akira says "I love you" to a girl, he really feels it, because it has happened, he just doesn't remember, and the girls are the same too.
All of this amounts to Akira being one and everyone of himself at the same time. Now I don't know how Selebus will choose to do it (I have some ideas of my own), but you can easily get every purity route, harem and True endings to be cannon at the same time, if you can just SPLIT YOUR SOUL.

I'm thinking true ending is rescuing Ami from the wishing well, and we might have to leave the entities of the wishing well behind (Nakayamas, the Sekai that the others can see, Maya)

There has already been a canon ending, which is "Times New Roman". In it, Akira's alive, Ami got sacrificed to end the resets and time goes on. Apparently things are just fine for Yasu and, to some extent, Sana. But that's it, it's certainly not a "happy" ending for Akira, but well, he's there.

Just from the previews, I wonder if Ami looking shocked and Niki breaking down have to do with it, and why. Niki breaking down is natural for a couple of things that could happen with Noriko, from her getting laid, to finding out about other girls, to just a flashback. But what gives with Ami?
I think one thing that would shock Ami is Akira not having sex with Noriko yet again. I think that, although the obvious punch would be punching Niki from having sex with Noriko - maybe the punching is towards Noriko again?
