Since it's not in your guesses, if things go the way I've been saying (Niki gives Noriko and Akira her blessing) then after they're gone she breaks down when she's alone and able to process she's not enough for him. Even if she's previously said it's ok if he doesn't end up with her, she's since moved in, became Ami's mother figure, and been living as his girlfriend for about a year now. She's been living the dream and the dream just shattered.

Just to throw this out there, Noriko might be plan B for Ami if a threesome with Maya isn't enough for Sensei. Ami alluded to this, to Maya:

If anyone can play Ami like a fiddle, it's Noriko, and if Ami thinks anyone could help her effectively steal Sensei from Niki (besides Maya), it's probably Noriko. Little Sister and Daughter combo.

I wouldn't be surprised if they attempt to use eachother to get what they want.

I also have to wonder if New Maya trying to seduce Sensei without Ami, is going to cause Ami to replace her with Noriko.

Noriko might want to watch out for the chair... Edit: And Ami might want to watch out for knives:

Noriko walks away with this one. She didn't put all her skill points in intelligence like Nodoka so she wont get one shotted.

I wrote a lot but decided to save it for another time, because I was starting to get on a rambling groove, so I need more time to let the theory simmer.

But the beginning of it is:

I want to hear that rambling. That said, I'd imagine whatever is enabling Kumon-mi is a sort of Silent Hill-esque thing, so it'd be your own tailored hell. Kinda reminds me of one of those chinese web novels where VR gaming advanced your cultivation, and while Silent Hill 2 was scary but tailored to James, Pyramid Head was tailor-made for the fears of the player, because magic xianxia VR. Not saying that's how Kumon-mi even works, just going off kinda based on your post, since we still don't know the reasons for the resets.

If you are wiling to solve all reset puzzles by yourself and endure whatever happens in resets for how long (one of them took a few weeks iirc), it is not really a bad deal.

Leaving resets mean chinami will die, and you can add Yuki to that equation.
Makoto would still be depressed but now she has limited time before dealing with it.
Futaba would probably lose weight.
Imani gets full time job etc

Some of the cast members would be more exited than others for sure.

The next update will greatly affect 3 fandoms. Maya's, Niki's and Noriko's (Yes, I truly believe that she won't have sex in this next update)

in addition to the red path fandom, which as we know because of Sara, will be where a lot will change between these two paths.

I think it will easily be one of the best updates in the game, if Selly doesn't mess up.
