Wait wait wait... Himawari? This is my 4th playthrough and I have no idea what that is. Also, will it wait to do things like The Shaudenfreud Chika event so I can get good homie and stuff like that?
Himawari is the weird brunette turd that weird a sunflower in her hair.
The shitstain that sold you a melon during MAYA's birthday

You may remember her from poignant events such as Maya's birthday and the 5th reset puzzle. And AFAIR, yes, the autovn mod makes your see all events.

Honestly the AVN mod makes this game so much better. The sandbox gimmick was neat on the first playthrough, but Jesus Christ... constantly worrying about Ap and Lp, not to mention things like doing certain events locking out others... Sel really fucked his game for repeat playthroughs.

Well, technically, that was fully Sel's intention. Also, you can use URM to edit variables so you can make your playthrough easier.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
No guarantees that Sel won't find a way to fuck you over if you mess with event checks, but you can edit [CHARA]_love or [CHARA]_lust values easily.

I know there has been a lot of discussion on red/green routes in the past, but one I never see mentioned is telling Karin about Akira's relationship with her sister.

Lying to Karin and saying you are not involved If you don't lie, it causes you to miss 'Dying alone with ten cats'. Which is a fun event.

But telling Karin that you have been with her sister; it really changes her attitude. It really brings out the competitive/rivalry side of Karin. It feels like it fits with the rest of the story better (granted, I'm only at 'Wrong Place/Wrong Time' in my 2nd playthrough, so there could be more changes I am not aware of)

Anyone else find this? Is the missed event worth it to see this side of Karin? Or is the 'green' version of Karin the best?

Pretty sure you have it backwards here - lying in 'Forty Degrees Below Zero' is what you need to do in order to see 'Dying alone with ten cats', you'll miss it if you're honest with her about being involved with Kirin.

Honestly I didn't think there's not a huge amount of difference between the two besides the missed event, it's just a line or two per event. The only exception I can think of is 'Wrong Places/Wrong Times' where Kirin wants to go out with Sensei instead of Karin, in one version she's kind of possessive and argumentative and in the other she's more desperate. I can't remember which is which though lol

So yeah, my preference is green there just for the missed event.

Ahh, you're right. I did mean that but then word it so badly i crossed up what I was referencing.

There are only a few changes in other scenes, correct. But Karin has so few that those have a bit more of an impact.

The Karin/Kirin 'fight' is if you tell Karin the truth

Can you walk me through that? I'm a colossal dumbass
You've found AutoVN, if you're happy with that keep using it. URM lets you edit variables but it's very easy to brick your saves to the point no one can fix it easily using it.

Also can someone walk me through disabling DRM? When I click the patch it doesn't download the file it takes me to a page with a bunch of words
I would highly recommend not applying the DRM patch if you're like that. You risk your saves whenever Sel updates any relevant files and would have to reapply the patch per update. You can try open the scripts in notepad or something to read the dialogue.

The fanfest download shouldn't have DRM based on the lack of complaints if you want to check that out.

Green path always. Red path Kirin is a decent friend to Ayane too if you want to check that out, but it will eventually bite you.
