My point was about how he has the audacity to criticize someone else's decision making when what he did was thousands of times worse.

Just because you do something bad doesn't mean you can't criticize when someone else does something bad too, one of the main points in my opinion is that Akira knows that what he does is bad for the girls and bad for him while Ami thinks that what she does is right and good for Akira, she thinks she's right to do the bad things she does while Akira knows he's doing it wrong, so in my opinion he has the right to be angry with what she did, he's not angry with her for doing it but with the reason she did it.

As for the update itself, I think it was pretty strong update, a bit curious with how it continues to set up bigger and bigger events and involve more characters in a continuously more problematic cycle but I feel that will be covered more in the so called dark route and I don't have enough information nor lore of the game to really comment on it.

Well again, the point is the "criticism" is obviously hollow and hypocritical. Him getting mad at Ami for hurting Niki, but he just hurt her a billion times worse. Though honestly, I think he's more mad that she ruined one of his relationships rather than how it made Niki feel.

For some reason URM won't bring up scientific research, miserably ever and post nut clarity when I try and search it. I just wanna rewarch those scenes to make sure I viewed them...cause I forgot. Is there anything different I'm supposed to search in the search bar?

Edit: Okay I think I saw miserably ever, which means I saw post-nut clarity I guess. I do wonder though, why won't URM show these scenes despite it being the exact names?

I don't use URM so I have no idea, but if you want I could just post a couple save files that are on the two hidden scenes?

Edit: I'll just do that anyway so down the line people can just search for them lol first save file is on the hidden Scientific Research event (2000 Ayane affection) and second is the Post-Nut Clarity one (3000 Ayane affection)

Next scene I want to see is Yuki (or Yumi) drenched in blood standing over the mutilated/dismembered corpses of the Yakuza.

Sign me up for that. It would be wild if that's what breaks Yumi's resistance and has her make a wish.

You're right that it is hypocritical, but it is also logical to hate someone that forced another to undergo surgery without anesthesia, when they could have had it. Which is basically the situation here.

Funny thing is all I've been doing for the past month is musing over how things will turn out for Sara and her part of the update has been completely overshadowed in my brain by how bad I feel for Yuki and Niki now lol

It's surprising how I was right about her willing to attempt suicide, to then bounce back and heal herself on her own without talking to Akira.

Now my daughter wants to include me in her sex life.
That's a bad thing.

Then, if we have sex with the same dude, wouldn't we finally be able to connect?
Is that such a bad thing after all?

Yumi's TSS was super interesting too, probably both my favourite TSS and favourite event of the update. I wonder if that talk about her possible ascension/Godhood is related to the different name Wires knows her by?

Yeah, I had a good read on how she'd take things too - even down to leaning into the throuple idea, though honestly part of me wishes there'd been more of a blow out. Getting such a direct view of her past was grim enough though, I suppose, any more might have been overkill for one update - although I thought the dialogue was a bit iffy in that part so it wasn't as grim as it could've been for me.

And weirdly enough some of it was a relief, because now at least it seems Akira's brother didn't rape him

I agree for the most part, the only thing I can think of that it would add narratively is to show just how much bullshit Yuki has had to deal with to make her end up where she is and HOPEfully pave a path for a possible redemption (or retribution). In theory that kind of arc could work, but effectuating it is a whole other beast.

No idea what Selebus's plans are from it, but I enjoyed the bit of characterization we got from the boss and how it further solidifies some of Yumi and Yuki's respective characters. Strong scene, but still overshadowed by many of the others

Sel has stated elsewhere that a major theme in the story is that sometimes you have to see hell before you learn to appreciate beauty. From another perspective -- you have to hit rock bottom before you find a reason to stand back up.

Yuki has given up. She was given a diagnosis, and simply gave up. She was seeing money from a man she hated, knowing the price, so that she could buy enough drugs to kill herself.

Instead, he actually gave her something that might motivate her to live, instead. Because there's definitely the seeds of a revenge arc planted.

I think I'm finally going to listen to The Narrator and stop playing the game. Five years I've been on board and this is the fifth time we hear or see a Love Interest getting gangbanged and the second gangrape.

Imani in her backstory.
Tsubasa in the flashback before her wedding.
Maki in the Makoto flashback.
Chika and Chinami in the sadness symposium.
And now Yuki.
There might be more I don't remember.

Cel obviously has a fetish for it and I see it becoming more and more common as the story progresses. It's literally the opposite of my tastes and I hate that it's becoming more common.

Plus, not to be that guy, but we saw (saw, not implied) four scenes of a LI having sex with someone else this update. That's straying too close to NTR for me.

I think I'm done. Thanks for everything guys, it's been a fun 5 years, but I don't think I'll miss it.
