I don't think Selebus is stalling persay. The story is moving as it has to move regarding the end of the harem route. That means getting Akira to fuck everyone, for everyone to know about everyone else, and for a lot of threesomes to happen.

Anyway, I think we're seeing a consequence of a couple of factors. There are just way too many characters, there is a critical lack of planning, there have been some questionable story decisions, and Akira's not having enough of an "active" protagonist role.

And a last thing that certainly doesn't help is that LiL has always been about stalling, or rather not pursuing things any normal person would. Akira hardly ever does shit. "oh, I have found this hole to nothingness during my date with Io? better ignore it." - and he does that to everything since the first event of the game. Kind of upsetting, especially now.

I don't think Chapter 4 will last that long; we've already had 1 reset this chapter, and since that we have had a Christmas, Halloween, Dorm Wars and a Beach trip upcoming since that reset. We've never had any of those appear more than once in a reset cycle, yet

But the Harem route will continue for the whole of Chapter 5 as well; which will extend into the 2-3 years you mention.

Selly has already said that chapter 4 will last a few more years, so yes, it won't end next year. That's why I'm worried about how the story unfolds, the fact that Selly said that chapter 4 won't end next year really affected my perception of what could happen in this chapter more than what already happened.

Since we don't know how long the dark route, purity routes and true ending is, it's hard to predict when the Harem route will wrap. 2028 or 2029 at the latest is a good estimate on when the Harem/Dark route will end. I personally think 2029 is when the purity routes will begin. 25 characters, 2 breaks and if the fan fest is a yearly thing 3. Were looking at 2 to 3 purity routes a month. Which would spill over into 2030 and wrapping up with the true ending.

Are you sure about that? Ch4 will have more events than Ch2 before the end of this year, and I distinctly remember Selebus saying that they would be at least somewhat comparable in length. That was probably a year ago, so maybe he changed his mind, but 2-3 more years of content would make Ch4 more than double the length of Ch2.

If the next reset happens and the chapter is over, then wtf does infinite spring mean? I think chapters are season bound and it's still gonna be spring after the reset. The story has done a shit job of building up to something for a chapter ending too, surely it's just gonna continue.

I actually heard he's gonna divorce himself from a monthly update for purity routes I'm expecting a bit longer than a month each, especially with the amount of events per purity route he said each was gonna be before (He did say they're gonna recycle a lot of existing images for them). Every route will release in its entirety.

Didn't he say the purity routes were going to be released in batches? Meaning that they would no longer be monthly updates. Don't know how that would affect his finances though

Probably, but why? It's not the only effect the game uses. What's stopping the next one being annoying?

I’m a bit sensitive to light—getting flashed too many times in a short period makes my eyes water. Someone in my community group managed to turn it off successfully, but I couldn’t get it to work using their method (setting all flash durations in the game to 0 via Visual Studio Code). So I wanted to check if anyone here on F95 has tried something similar. It’s really hard on the eyes when playing at night, and SEL doesn’t even bother with proper transitions anymore.
