It could also be Osako telling Wakana about Akira. Sel likes using scene dialogue for event titles, and you could easily have Osako saying that

Best TV series ending by far is The Shield. Pays off on events that happened in the first episode seven seasons earlier.
Oh my bad, I was talking about absolutely horrible endings. As in, while you can make bad endings, it's pretty hard to make an ending that makes your fanbase want to pretend your entire game/show didn't exist, but those two somehow made it happen. I think that regardless of everything, unless Sel fumbls the ball pretty hard from an objective point of view, at the very worst whatever ending he has in mind (or makes) for LiL is gonna be conclusive for all.
