I mean that Otoha (and Sekai) may be into both sexes at a very young age. Just with a preference towards male wizards or warlocks. And possibly a preference for female wizards over older ones. (Could be why Rin x Otoha didn't work out. Rin was too mature (and hard to control) for Otoha.)

I think my first post here was defending Futaba (and myabe like Kirin or someone else).
But basically, I think she is the nicest person in the game. Like even though Yumi bullied her relentlessly, she still didnt want her to feel alone on the beach and attempted to talk to her. She'll basically try to accommodate everyone (aside from Nodoka). Like the last min adjustment to trying to tutor Ami in her invite over.
Plus she also has one of the more terrible disorders of the cast; like she literally hates her body, no matter what she does. Only when she escapes into her novels or in cosplay as she can then manage to make her mind disassociate from herself that she feels ok.
And she is still pleasant and nice to all around her. Really wouldn't be hard to blame her to basically hate everybody esle and treat them like crap. But she doesn't.
And she still calls out Akira on his crap every once in a while. Not like some of the others do, but very much more than what you woulkd expect her to do. I could prob include him in that earlier on about Nodoka.
And then add in the stuff about her family over the past 5-6 updates (her not getting her allowance from them, to not hearing from them at all, etc). Just all little background comments up til the last update. That caused my mind to start thinking about the whys. Like did they die? Or is something messing up the connection between Kumon-mi and the rest of the world?

I can't really argue that her story hasn't been spinning its wheels for a long time but as a character she's still very well-written and it's hard for me to hate on someone like her.
Her body-image issues and the affect they have on her behaviour are also very realistic so she gets points for that with me.
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember it was already said that the difference between secondary and main characters is just that the girls are in Akira's class, so much so that Kirin it started as a secondary character and then went to Akira's class, she became the main character, so I don't think there is a difference between main and secondary girls
"What could possibly go wrong?" A lot of things are going to go wrong, it seems, hahaha, and another thing, Akira doesn't even try to hide the fact that he's seeing these floating letters, he's clearly looking at them.
Rin can be moved into "experienced supernatural but clueless" tier. She hears the ticking of the room with clocks during her Chika confession and she makes it known she's somewhat aware of the time loop in the event after the Rika towel event. Similar to how Yumi was after the time skip from dorm wars to the beach trip.
