I wonder how many jumpscares and static flashes Sel's portion has?
Thank you, I forgot that he did voicovers and didn't know he even had IMDB. But I'm pretty sure there was another one that was still in progress around a year ago. I don't know it's current status. It was a 2d novel where he was listed as a writer for one of the routes. I think he himself confirmed his invovlvement. It was still unreleased at the time, and produced by other people. I remember people here (and probably on Discord too) wondering how he managed to write for additional project outside of LiL. Does no one remember this?

I think you're talking about Lucid9. Sel posted an ad in LiLcord looking for artists along time ago.
Don't think it failed, just found it and it says stuff is ongoing. The updates say Sel finished his part of the writing and is on hold until one of the other routes is finished so their team can talk edits and revisions for Sel's part.

The one I thought I heard about would have had koikatsu models, and apparently their models started appearing in a batch of Sel's requests after the game they were going to be for fell through.
But there might be a crossed wire, Lucid9's kickstarter would have been in the right time frame too.
Must be tough to be on that team. I can imagine Sel saying, "I'm writing a bazillion-word VN alongside this, and I still got my part done and waiting for the rest of you."

Many think Sensei's relationships cannot go back normal. If this is factory reset do characters go back to chapter 1?

Anyone got any games similar to lil to recommend? Just played Dissonance and thought it was really good (better than LiY at least). I'm kinda stretching for something to play, trying to convince myself not to do a third playthrough of LiL or give LiY another go.

I'm hoping some characters will become less insane but I can't imagine everyone going back to step 1 being the outcome here - at least not permanently - considering there's a bunch of the cast left to "romance" and the RAS was just getting started. And since it would undo a lot of progress. It would be a pretty difficult development to pull off well lol
But we don't really know I guess
Man I’m itching for characters to revert to Chapter 1 with clues of a previous iteration being left behind everywhere, and then we watch the whole cast figure things out. The fruit is just dangling there for Sel to bite
Hi all. Long-time player here (been playing since 0.33), and I am FINALLY caught up....and have also read the past several hundred pages of discussion & pondered many theories.
I'm starting my second playthrough now, and am planning to upload various things that stand out to me as I slowly make my way back through the massive amount of stuff in this ridiculous game that I (like many of you) have become utterly obsessed with.
First up, a hint to one of my favorite theories, the Maya = stray cat one: Maya only exists because Ami wished for a friend....or even better, wished that her cat would be transformed into a human and become her best friend.
From the Ami event "Home Away From Home," which occurs the first time you visit her in her dorm room.

I think everyone's memories being reset permanently is too much work for Sel so I doubt it. Maybe they will be for the next update, but I'm convinced we're returning to the same sandbox and staying in Chapter 4 after it.

We're told that what happened before the reset cannot be undone, so at least SOMETHING that happened in this update is permanent. Very likely, we hit something akin to a save point.

Good choice with Dissonance, in my view that's the only good one that's close thematically.
I highly recommend Perfect Pitch, which I think is the only Koikatsu VN that has comparable overall quality to LiL. It has some similar elements, and I'd say give it a little while to see if the story gets you.
