Ye I know the risks, I personally don't care if I'm banned from there (y)

I guess I should've added that as an addendum of sorts for people unaware tho
no one gets banned for just posting on here and being in the discord
youre only really banned if youre posting subscriber only content
or youre somewhere else (not just here) discussing subscriber content and you arent a paying sub
eyes and ears are in every corner of the internet sadly

Hi everyone. This is going to be a long and rambling post about Ami: did she always know about the resets from the start, or not?

I finished replaying Chapter 2 and have started Chapter 3, trying to focus specifically on her appearances. At the same time, I was also replaying the game just to enjoy it, so it’s not like I had the discipline to analyze every single detail — nor am I smart enough to do so anyway. I also know that many of the things I’m about to say have already been discussed at length, and I’m sure I’ll miss or forget things since I haven’t replayed the entire game yet. Still, I wanted to give it a try.

TL;DR: In the first two chapters, the evidence for Ami either knowing or not knowing about the resets is deeply conflicting. Personally, I’d be fine with Selebus eventually revealing either option as true — or even a mix of both (which is what I currently believe).

That’s it for now. I’m going to replay both Chapters 3 and 4 before making another post like this about Ami. I really hope for the story too soon open up about Ami’s own story, because she truly is one of the more present and important character, yet one of the less explored, by author’s choice.

It's been the subject of a lot of discussion. There isn't really a solid consensus - some think yes, some think no, some think a bit of both.

My current belief is on the same track as you, both - that during our Sensei's time in Kumon-mi so far she had some memories but not all of them (nor a full understanding of the situation) until later in Chapter 3. There's too many conflicting implications from various points for me to believe she either did or didn't the whole time and I don't find the argument that she did and was just acting the whole time to be very convincing at the moment based on her behaviour through the game.

Short answer: we don’t know for sure.

“Slightly” longer answer:

Personally, I already made my thoughts on Ami’s situation perfectly clear (post № 61315 on December 13, if I’m not mistaken – you can find my long-ass Ami analysis there), so I won’t repeat them here. Moonflare also had a lot of great posts relating to this topic about a year ago, I believe, made in the few months following the release of 0.45 – you can try searching for them, as well. Either way, though, there is a lot of evidence that supports *both* interpretations of her character – including the “Lamb Legs” Happy Scene that very few people ever mention, surprisingly – so, in the wise words of the late (but never forgotten) Plant #2:

That is literally everyone here. We're on a pirate site, discussing "subscriber content" minutes after it got posted - when we all theoretically should have been waiting two weeks.

What is Selebus going to do, check if I am a paying subscriber to evaluate if me posting triggers guides on f95 hours after each release merits a ban or not? How would he even do that? Bans are arbitrary and a load of bullshit.
