Hi everyone. This is going to be a long and rambling post about Ami: did she always know about the resets from the start, or not?
I finished replaying Chapter 2 and have started Chapter 3, trying to focus specifically on her appearances. At the same time, I was also replaying the game just to enjoy it, so it’s not like I had the discipline to analyze every single detail — nor am I smart enough to do so anyway. I also know that many of the things I’m about to say have already been discussed at length, and I’m sure I’ll miss or forget things since I haven’t replayed the entire game yet. Still, I wanted to give it a try.
TL;DR: In the first two chapters, the evidence for Ami either knowing or not knowing about the resets is deeply conflicting. Personally, I’d be fine with Selebus eventually revealing either option as true — or even a mix of both (which is what I currently believe).
That’s it for now. I’m going to replay both Chapters 3 and 4 before making another post like this about Ami. I really hope for the story too soon open up about Ami’s own story, because she truly is one of the more present and important character, yet one of the less explored, by author’s choice.
