i mean summertime saga is its own thing that required actual artists and animations and actual coding compared to a game made with premade assets, MS paint, and images taken from google with the watermarks taken off.
not saying selebus deserves less money than summertime saga ... but it makes sense why he makes less and is borderline insane to think it could compete to that level, especially with the drama orientated spectacle selebsus prone to starting

Yeah, that's more or less what I was trying to say. On the raw production value SS probably deserves at least a part of it's earnings (and I don't mean to downplay Sel's dedication and talent), but I still don't like a lot in it (from primitive plot and characters to absolutely generic porn section imo). Likewise, a man have every right not to like LiL with it's pretentiousness and "philosophy" and I can somewhat understand him. Tastes differ, and I don't want to sound like some kind of elitist, but as I see it, the majority of people would prefer Summertime Saga type of content, rather than LiL, because well... majority. So if it's not a joke about this goal, than I don't understand what (and how) Selebus hopes to achieve, because all this ruckus is definetely about money.

Sadly I don't think this thread will ever go back to what it used to be, the Lil discord community has too much vitriol against this place now and despite what the mods here have claimed through their "mature" posts it's clear they get their kicks out of seeing Sel get mad, heck you even have members like Bingoogus whom by their own admission get their kicks out of this drama that always unfolds and despite what Bingoo has said before it's clear they're lurking within the discord, some that overly obessed with this drama wouldn't wanna miss out on anything but moving on, there's going to be no winners here, the mods are never going to shut down this thread permantely despite the mass rule 7 reports (Which I knew would be a fruitless endeavour) because LiL drama is too much of a goldmine, likewise Sel is never going to stop hating this place for leaking his content and taking away potential subscribers from him which in turn leads to him making meta complaints about this place through his characters which.... I dislike, perhaps it wouldn't have gotten this bad if the care packages didn't start getting leaked but I don't think "What IF" possiblities are worth discussing at this point either way regardless of whether or not Sel actually finishes this game or Sel just cancels it I think this place won't have the same passionate discussion it used to and considering some of the people here, maybe that's for the best.

I wouldn't call it a parody, it uses the same basic formula for 'isekai-into-a-sensei' that LiL uses and there are similar plot devices used for both games but calling it a parody is going way too far, are all FPS games parodies of Doom?

ehh i use parody because of the obvious ref, jokes and almost every other update it basically makes a callback to LiL
I mean the city's name is Jizz on you
i also couldnt think of a better word than parody that wasn't insulting as I found parody to mostly be a positive word

Well that's unfortunate. That means it's not replay-able at all. You'll see it once through normal playthrough and that's it...
This will maybe put a damper on crustlord12's Replay All Mod since its not an event and will be skipped by the Mod. How's that going BTW?

Don't worry, this already happened with a small scene at the very start of the game; after the dream with Ami but before you walk to school, she wakes you up. I just manually had to add that into the list, it wasn't a huge issue code-wise but it's what showed me I'll have to check every single event moving forward. Still nothing major, just a small annoyance.

It's also going slowly because I'm a lazy shit after I got the main events done, but I'll try to get chapter 1 fully completed with girls events this week.

Yeah but like, what you're describing as an example is exactly why i've missed both of these, if it's a foreign name i don't hear it in English so i don't check it against English words and sounds.

That one is still vigenere cipher, but the key is "ami".
