Since it gets discussed on here pretty often, Sensei Overnight is over. Dev's been arrested and pled guilty. Full information over on the SO thread.

Not gonna lie, this is my biggest fear with LiL. Especially with how unstable Sel is.

I don't see it, what I see in Sel is someone who is fine with fictional content of a certain variety, the wizards. He's essentially the same as I am in that regard, we both accept wizard content in fiction. What the SO dev is accused of is going after actual people, which is not the same thing. Well, I mean, it is the same legally in the place that reported on what the SO dev did because that place doesn't discriminate between fiction and reality, but the place where Sel is from does.

Honestly, never was a fan of SO, but considering how obsessed I've become with LiL... if it turns out Sel is the same and this game ends because of that.

Honestly, same, I gave it a try and it just didn't have the appeal on either side of the porn vs story fence that LiL sits firmly on the story side of. It was trying to be like LiL without the Denpa elements (not saying it copied LiL, it did not), which just doesn't work. That's why the Denpa elements aren't skippable in LiL, because they are essential, and that was a big mistake in the purpose of SO as explained by the SO dev. The story is why we play LiL and LiL without the Denpa elements would just be...uneventful and boring with the rest of the story the way it is. LiL would essentially have to be rebuilt from the ground up in order to remove the Denpa elements.

I think Sel is a narcissistic asshole but i don't think he is pedo. And as for So I played it in its infancy and it felt like a shittier lil with shitty character models.

Oh definitely, he loves to do these things, leaving the reader hanging on a cliff with more questions than answers. It's supposed to draw people into waiting for the next installment of the plot point in question.

As for why she looks up, sound is directional, she could be looking in the direction of the voice, which would match the direction Sekai is standing in. The only way this would be less likely is if they were in an extremely resonant space where sound was bouncing in every direction and throwing off her ability to pinpoint the direction from which it originated.

It could be a shapeshifter, yeah, I'm just saying that is definitely Sekai in appearance. The dress and every other part we see is definitely her, but what we don't know is whether that's actually Sekai looking like Sekai or someone taking her appearance for some reason. A big question would be why, why would they take Sekai's form? I don't see anyone that is on the same side of things as Sekai having any reason, so the only ones I can think of would be the side against her and I can't think of a reason they would.

I definitely think the Sekai that's around is actually "The World Itself", that Yasu has mentioned before:

Why it takes Sekai's form seems to be for two reasons: Sekai translates to World, and they share a similar mindset and role. It's reasoning behind it's form seems comparable to Nao's.

Of course, I don't think anyone really takes this seriously, lmao. I've decided to label it the "Sekai-spiracy".

hmm despite meeting all said requirements already, I can only trigger it after finishing other events available at the moment (for now I can't tell which one is needed; perhaps prerequisites on wiki are incomplete?)
Regardless, if you have a guide mod installed, progress with other people first, and Under the World Tree will trigger eventually (verified by specifically using your save)

Edit: finish all your Ami invite-over til you finish her 3rd event Best Friend Forever. Afterwards Under the World Tree triggered for me; perhaps one of the stated prerequisites "Cold Air of an Encroaching Winter " isn't correct.

You know, the fact that Kaori more or less kidnapped a kid and is apparently now dressing up as a cop with that kid, is a little.. ironic. I feel like there's a better word for it, but that fits I suppose.

Also, I sincerely hope Otoha doesn't try to get some sort of indirect kiss from Niki or something. I always find that kind of stuff creepy and gross.

As for the Touka Kirin one, maybe Touka is starting to get a little jealous after her talk about Sensei with her mom?

To update, just add the .34 update to the .33 version you already have. If you don't have that version though, you'll have to download the .34 version. Then just move your saves to that.

My main gripe with SO really just came down to how it rubbed me the wrong way.

The immaturity of the characters with memes, weed, and potty humor coming up quite a bit, stacked onto how choices either didn't seem to matter, or lead to exaggerated outcomes, and in retrospect how blackmailing and lewd pics of underage girls through out the story seemed to be natural(?). I feel like if the Yumi Nodoka stuff happened in SO, it'd be considered "hot", and Nodoka would have came out mentioning she just took a huge shit before blackmailing Yumi.

I think I quit playing after feeling annoyed by other MCs messing around with the MC's aunt in the background, disturbed by the fact a version of the MC's aunt apparently licked up dog cum and may have been fucked by a chicken, and weirded out by how one of the new students found being cornered by the MC in a dressing room at a store, if I remember correctly, "so hot". Not to mention, there was only like one girl I actually felt entertained by, through out what I played, and where the story was going with her was probably my main interest, which I guess I'll never know now.

Honestly, if it was more like LiL then I'd probably had liked it more. It felt like almost the opposite in retrospect.

I was hoping for something like Lessons in Love, but this game is more or less The Hana to LIL's Chinaka if you get what I mean. I also did not do Hana's route apparently, (First play through so far) so that is the version of the characters I'm referring to. Of course, I could have just made a bunch of wrong choices so if that's the case, feel free to enlighten me on what choices I should have chosen.

i say it be this version where he cant help but share his feelings because to me what make Sensei an intressting character is has much has he is a asshole and a terrble person he is still human and his limits and lines he wont cross. e.g the molly thing really messed him up because he throught that would be a line he never cross. so seeing him talk more about his feelings and seeing a more human side to him is something i what to see. i also think this version will be the best way to flesh out his character

Honestly, none, it's the journey for me, not the destination, i want to see what happens to him no matter which way things go, it's a very interesting exploration of a mentally broken person that you just can't really get in any other format, at least none i've experienced, not to this depth.

Since Kaori really is bringing Nao-chan around and having her and herself participating in things with the girls, I wonder what the eventual encounter would be when Nao-chan meets Maya.


Would Maya freak out because of Nao-chan’s eyes/her existence as a whole because she knows more that she lets on?

Would Nao-chan “ignore” Maya like her heterochromic mother did? Or was that puzzling encounter between Maya and Kaori less about having strange eyes and simply more about Sekai’s influence on Kaori?

Or would there be some immediate consequences as soon as Nao-chan sees Maya? (getting this horrifying feeling due to the presence of Egg of the Perfect World)

Whichever one hurts the girls the least by the end. Not taking the past into account, I've already accepted they will get hurt eventually, the question is really when, not if. I do have to wonder if we've seen everything all of his sides have to offer, perhaps they all have something bad about them, a sort of trade off that we would have to accept to get the good parts of a specific side. For example, the third has the issue of not treating the girls right, which would be considered a bad part of that side of Sensei. While I can't actually name any good parts to the third off the top of my head, an example of a good part would be the emotional openness of the currently shown side of Sensei.

I do have a very bad feeling we will be seeing that third side again one of these days, the biggest question there is who is getting hurt this time.

I'm going with that last one as well, the egg is giving me a very bad feeling. Where that thing appears, what comes next cannot possibly be good.

I suppose a "good" part of Callous Sensei might be more sex scenes, with little limits, for those who want them. That's about all I can think of though.

Also, I'm thinking it'll be Rin being the next to be hurt. Feels like there is a lot of danger flags on her. Could be wrong though, and she'll be saved for later.
