In other news, I'm currently playing Lost in You. A very shameless copycat. Turns out some of the things in that game triggered some uhhh "minor trauma" from LIL? Yeah. Turns out playing non stop for 3 months is great for remembering sad and disturbing events. Especially deaths...

Since there won't be a new update for a while, I decided to leave a comment and participate in the thread to make the wait more enjoyable. You should avoid 0.49 until the next update at least (1 and a half months away). This update was some of the harshest trauma to hit the most innocent of cinnamon rolls, on green path at least. And if the darkest theory comes true, you'll probably want to wait even longer, even if the rest of 0.50 has got me kinda hyped if my reads are correct.
The 0.48 Yumi and Uta chains were sweet, even if it still had suffering in Yumi's case. Io gets a solid win in 0.49. Ayane lovers ate well in 0.49, and you'd probably have someone joining Ami in the tier list thanks to this update. TBD in 0.50.

To me that promise has only meant that the ending of LiL doesn't retcon the story of LiL to have never happened. If the setting itself is a dream / simulation that gives reason to why some people can break it.
There's also a LOT more 4th wall breaking moments from before CH4. Everyone was getting angry at Akira panning the camera away with his hand, but there's been a bunch of times where he's intentionally sharing and sometimes hiding the memories with the viewer, alongside other moments like speaking the Affection Increased dialogues at the end of events.

Welcome. As you must know by now, we're pretty friendly and I've noticed a lot of people here are not native speakers. I wouldn't worry about that, and speaking as a native speaker, I'm actually always impressed that someone is trying hard to speak my language, even if they get some things wrong sometimes. I know most people didn't like the last update, but I thought it was okay. Especially because, for me, Dorm Wars have always been, let's say, minor events, almost bordering on self-parody. That said, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have higher expectations for this latest one, and I felt a little more disappointed with the final result. BUT! I'm convinced I'm "supposed" to feel this way. Just like Nodoka, and at the same time, this is a lesson for both of us. You can't break the world with "Trauma" alone, you also need "Blood."
What's more clear to me is that my expectations for the 0.50 are sky-high, especially for Nikki's events.

And I decided to write in this thread because I wanted to talk to more people about this game, which has become something more, a part of my life. As strange as that may sound, there aren't many other places, not to say there aren't any others.

I doubt that's even possible. I would have to get a real life or die for that to happen... or just be unable to touch a mouse and/or keyboard? The longer I wait, the more content comes out. I am stubbornly staying away until I get a craving or I run out of games to play.
Not planning to come back for a while yet... I'm still where I left off last, right before HOPE showed up at the rooftop, a scene I didn't actually read but recklessly spoiled through visual.
I'm not sure I like the sounds of that... Some of the harshest trauma? Should I demand a spoiler? Fuck it, hit me with it. I won't be back for a while so I might as well hear the most important detail.

Didn't that event already happen? Or is it happening again? Doesn't matter. If I will ever play the game again, I more or less have to be prepared for any major traumas that happen. I feel betrayed knowing there are deaths of beloved characters in this game. Death of memories and thus personality are still considered deaths. I asked on day one if there were deaths, I got a not so clear answer, I was betrayed.
Honestly at this point, I am willing to play any game on my extended list that keeps growing each passing week, but Lessons in Love? That's like asking me if I want to punched in the face... repeatedly. No kidding, this game is no joke and I consider myself pretty strong with a variety of topics.
