On this point it's just too early to tell. There's been a ton of autumn / fall / 4th thing foreshadowing but nothing done with it yet, and next update is the kind of update that either does something with it or gives us a specific bone to theorize with.

tldr is that Sekai went crazy in her last year talking to a thousand gods at the same time, she reached out for Akira but he ignored her (assumed) and eventually she died (maybe out of her own volition). Kaori became a victim to her curse when she got a transplant, and Akira's reliving sort of what happened to her in chapter 4, since he's also intended to become a vessel.

god GOD God damn this cursed event replay system that Sel implemented. I have a save during the event and immediately before and immediately after, and I still can't find the event name. I can at least tell you that the name of the event right before it, when Akira and Noriko share their first kiss, is called Smells of Summer. Even when I had that event name, I still couldn't find it.

Hmm, to read too much into this or not......


Would Sel have the foresight to work on events on a per character basis (So knocking out all the Ayane focused events, then the ones designated as main) and then weave them together naturally later on...

Or more likely, he's doing the whole update in chronological order and that means most if not all of the Ayane events will also be the first half of the update, AKA Ayane will be focused on for the first half of the update, then either we lose access to her or we actually do world building stuff now in the second half of the update.

I see two likely possibilities:

1. Ayane's epilogue is the end of the reset, and the rest of the main events are the "new" reality after they come back (which I'm thinking will be quite different from usual). In this case the reset ends by the middle of the update.

2. Ayane's epilogue is about Akira, Ayane and Hima-chan, and then the rest of the events are either about the others caught in the reset, or about Hima-chan's journey interfering with everything in a huge flashback from her perspective (since she herself can't have character events). In this case the reset ends with the end of the update.

Regardless, I think it's likely that all of Ayane's events happen first, yes.
