Wow so...hope is evil or something I guess. If that somehow was the other maya, and they said they failed again, is that to prevent someone else from being in HOPEs clutches? I remember waaay earlier on, Akira ran into them...and HOPE was doing some real whacky stuff to maya. I also almost thought Rin accidentally made her own world. Speaking of which, I wonder how the other timeline thing even factors into that. Like the one where Ayane ran into a non-reset maya who still has knowledge and stuff. Is that like a branch of the fake world? Are we getting more multiverse theory to nerd out on? Cause clearly it is a different timeline, unless it was imagined by another one of the characters.

I imagine it's like how the other worlds will work though, narration kind of spoke on this. The world can be created, and I think branch into other possibilities, and that's why the Gods need to key an extra eye on stuff. It can get chaotic

Io event was also creepy as hell. But as with most other events that happen to the girls, I doubt word of it will get around, especially to Akira for several updates at the very least :(

Yumimawari (I assume)
Should have had way bigger boobs and gray eyes though, following the hair color.
The Io situation.

The problem with the entire situation is that Akira ruins the entire thing cause the right answer will always be: don't get involved with this dude :ROFLMAO: if Io had a responsible partner either path could work. Alas, she has Selebus. And Selebus is an ass.

When did you all come to the realization that Sel was an asshole?

For me: It was right around the time Rika was first introduced and Sel went on to call somebody a loser, nerd, virigin for about 15 minutes, because they said they didn't like women with tattoos.
Holy shit you people are late to the punch.
He was insulting people on here who needed help with the first reset, and floated the idea of making them even harder just so people couldn't "cheat" in their single player visual novel.
In fact he insulted people here a lot, had a really "These people are lesser" attitude right from the get go, lots of "Holy shit do you people ever read" and the like.

The question really comes down to "when was the first time you witnessed Sel talking to or about another human being for the first time?", because that would be the answer in 90% of the cases.
He's a rude, self-fellating asshole. But you know what they say about artists - the crazier they are the better stuff they come up with.

Asshole behavior, sure, but it's funny in the same line that it was funny to tell newfriends to alt + F4, alt + W or to delete System32 back in the old internet days.
Or maybe to tell someone that they should put condoms in the refrigerator?

Just been doing some thinking... what do you guys think of the update structure? Would you prefer bigger updates less often? Or like it the way it is?

It kinda sucks how quickly one can play through the updates and then we sit and wait for the next one for like 4 weeks. Bigger updates could be nice, but then it probably still wouldn't take all that long to play through them.

Well thankfully Akira does not live in a world governed by real-world logic and values.

I think it's more than fine as is. I wouldn't mind if they were every few months personally but considering Sel makes his living off monthly subscription it makes sense the way it's structured now.

Besides, they're already big updates. They might feel small if you're the kind of person (as I imagine most of us here are) to just sit down and smash it out but even the smaller updates like the last couple are the equivalent of a 200 odd page novel as far as word count goes with some bigger updates being close to or even more than twice the size. Not really gonna complain when it's basically a book a month and most of the other VN's on the site manage half that a year or just flat out get abandoned before they're halfway done lol

I'd hate it personally. A lot of the fun of the updates is then talking about them. If the updates were any bigger I'd have to start playing them 1 half per day, which means I'd miss out on some of the day 1 talk.

There's been lots of times where on one day I felt like I'd have some good observations to make and then I take too long to write them down and then people have half of my thoughts but I start feeling like it's not worth finishing the post. Already losing steam on this Io response cause RL is being hugely distracting.

If he started releasing 20 hour updates I'd play for 20 hours straight and still think "gosh I wish there was more update". The current structure is keeping me at least somewhat sane during release time.
