What the hell man is everybody on this thread Old, Suicidal or just Dying?
To be fair.... This is the kind of game that would resonate with those people. I don't see the average normie enjoying this game.
I had to do a double take. I think it's time for me to change prescriptions. I thought this said "I dont like fucking horses"
Maybe they need to change prescriptions. Who doesn't like fucking horses right guys?

Right guys??

I'd imagine the average normie also just doesn't spend much of their time browsing piracy sites for porn games in general either, which is more or less the only way someone's gonna come across something like LiL to begin with.

I figure this is pretty much rock bottom though.

It wasn't really that serious, I was just kind of annoyed by the dev's behavior (clearly at that point I had been away from Sel long enough to forget how insufferable he is sometimes). Specifically that he, instead of trying to fix a continuity error, just invented a "god" to shoehorn in an explanation as to why something is happening in the scene that does not make sense unless you played on the green route.
So his lazy ass solution was to just lore dump red route players and get on with it. I found that quite insulting towards his paying customers, although I guess it was also a little bit funny. I got over it in the meantime though, thanks to the 0.53 update.

On the topic of routes, I'm still playing my green route replay to catch up and actually have the opportunity to see all the missed scenes, without having to resort to URM (not because I don't know how to use it, I do use it, I just want the experience to be authentic instead of just going through the scenes individually as that would not feel right to me).
That being said, I just got to the first beach event (yes, the first, during the first chapter - turns out it takes FOR FUCKING EVER to play this game when you read everything and take your time to take screenshots and enjoy the scenes properly. My playtime for this route alone is like 30h already, including some idle time tbf).

Still, that whole event chain in particular is bringing up some serious nostalgia for me. Not least because of that Kirin event.

Must have been like what? 4 or 5 years ago by now that I went through it? Was still fresh on my mind.

There's like a lot more interesting tidbits here and there that you look at differently with the knowledge of three more chapters, and double so after the last update and Ayane's epilogue.

And yeah, as TheGoodPastor said, gameplay wise the only change around that particular choice, so far, is flavor text. To be fair, flavor text that I personally enjoy and appreciate (I made the same decision as you in my playthrough, fuck that).
Whether there will be any meaningful deviations (i.e. event missing completely) is unknown but likely, given that that's the case for many other decisions you make throughout the game (Ami situation, the girls' parents, Haruka, wizards, etc.)
What exactly is the Green Route and Red Route. How do I know which one I took? Does Green mean Good Choice and Red Bad?

The red route is where you picked Uta over Io and the green route is the other way. It just determines whether you see certain scenes from one perspective or another, though there are some narrative differences it's mostly just personal preference.

On a more serious note, when we say red route or green route, we refer to the event gallery in the game and whether the event has played out (green with check mark) or whether it has been missed (red with strike-through text).

So a green route save is when all events have been triggered and none have been missed, any missed event would mean it's now on the red route.

Think of it as canon vs. non-canon, because Sel has been very frank about his opinion of anyone electing to not trigger any scenes in his game. If it were to him, this game would be entirely kinetic and there wouldn't even be the option to miss events (I guess except for happy events that he likes to hide so much).

Similarly, there are certain flags that could trigger events in the future, so missing those could also be considered "not optimal play" for anyone who is intent on staying on the green route.

- If what Hima says is true and wishes only get granted for other iterations of the person that wished it, Akira 1 wished for Maya... then Maya 1 appeared for Akira 2 in another world, and then Maya 1 wished for this Kumon-Mi, creating a new world with a new Maya (Maya 2) and a new Akira (Akira 3). So how come Maya 2 can recognize the "true" Akira if she's not the Maya that wished for that world in the first place?

- What happened with the baby Ayane lost? Hima deleted her unborn self during that reset? Why?

- Why couldn't Makoto end herself but Ami can? Is suicide only allowed by the world during a reset?

- If taking your life during the reset somehow allows you to keep your memories, what about the people Ami kills? I mean, the result is the same, they're dead during the reset. Unless Ami kills them while they're already "dolls", which would make Ami even worse than I thought...

- The Ami we see crucified during a reset... was that one of the times the cleaners got to her and that scene was Shiori testing things?

I think she is also the real Ayane. When Himawari talks about the world where they actually belong, she includes Ayane in that - she's not the clone that belongs in this world.

In fact, I'll go further - I think every* member of the game's cast is the real version of themselves. That's why the custodians had to reset all of them, but not any of the other residents of the world. Takoyaki Man is still real to me, damn it!

People can apparently get sucked into different worlds from the one they started in, with that happening by choice, unconscious desire, or possibly even pure luck.

It's been hinted that's how people ended up in Kumon-mi, even all the way back in Chapter 1.

All we know is caretakers aren't able to clean memories or renew the inhibitors if they kill themselves.
All we have been outright told is that, as per the custodians, killing yourself before the custodians get to you to wipe your memories is preserving them apparently.
Where did this idea come from? I don't remember Himawari or Shiori saying anything like that, and in fact it's implied that they still reset everyone who is dead during the reset. It's just more work because they have to restore them physically as well as mentally.
