Lmao it's the same guy that caused that initial discussion too. Some people just don't get it, I guess. Sel definitely deserves some of the blame, but it does also start sort of ambiguous as to who is talking to whom during narrative moments... Sensei has always frequently talked to Us, the reader, as we observe his actions.
Thanks for pointing it out, I was about to make the same joke I made back then too.

I hope when Haruka 'rapes' Sana, she really plays the innocent during it... only to say 'that was fun' after it's over and post nut clarity hits Haruka... then she just twaddles away like it's nothing... leaving Haruka both horrified at herself and horribly confused by my beloved gremlin...
If my theory about how a Otoha rape needs to happen before the end of Ch4 and Prime's return, a scene like this would help ease the concept into the story rather than being entirely out of left field. There's not too many perspectives on rape left that the game hasn't tackled except first person and selfishly motivated.

I've been curious about doing a good uncle run, do events like the Nodokathon still take place just without the Ami part? Or are scenes like that missed entirely?
Nodokathon 2 is missed entirely if you aren't fucking any of Haruka, Sara or Ami. Larger chunks of the game are being blocked off if you're not on green path these days like most of the Tsukioka content in 0.51

Like Moon said you miss Nodokathon 2 because of it - and then because of that you subsequently miss out on Sara's events in the follow-up update (since her daughter didn't NTR her), so that's the most impactful change so far probably and will probably have more consequences down the road since that situation's still unravelling.

You also miss three 'Happy Events' as it is so that's pretty significant too.

Like I said, I like the "good uncle" route but I'd generally recommend it for a replay, not only is it a lot of missed content but a lot of the more interesting little things you can pick up on will be lost on you if you haven't done a green route playthrough already.

If you check the trigger guide for that particular update, you'll notice that he had to invent said god after the update through a hotfix, because the update simply launched broken.

half of the missed events wouldn't even register as missed, it was so bad. It was following it that he commented on how he wished he'd never made a red path (other than the Ami choice).

It's now become a habit to disparage players after them having missed events as well, iirc it happens in the last update too.

You miss a good 16 or so events at this point cockblocking her, I think? There's quite a lot of altered dialogue but the structure's mostly the same - i.e instead of freaking out about another girl or her massive incestual love she'll freak out in the same place about how her uncle won't stick it in her. I like the vibe of her and Akira's relationship a bit more personally but it's a lot of missed events.
Well I've already played the green route up to this point so I've seen everything so far. Even if I do start the game over I'll probably go green route but I can't say that I'm not interested in a 'good uncle' playthrough. I understand why Ami is the way she is but that doesn't mean I don't kinda hate her.

Also, I think there's good arguments for both paths. I think bad uncle is more true to who Akira actually is and it's obviously what Sel intended, but I don't think it's a huge stretch for him to fend her off while still fucking all the other girls. That said, Akira is just so completely broken at the beginning of the game that he doesn't have the strength/smarts to stay away from her, that growth comes much later in the game.

When's the last time we even fucked Ami? Feels like it's been a while. Maybe since the Nodoka threesome? I hope in the next update or two it goes back to sandbox, feels like we've been on rails for a while now.

What is the 'green path'? Same question about the 'red path'.
Green path means you don't miss any events, red path means you miss some events due to decisions - e.g if you choose not to pursue Ami as a love interest obviously you won't get any romantic/sexual scenes with her, so you miss those events. It's mostly pretty easy to stay on the green path, there's only two instances where it's easy to miss events because they're not the results of an event decision, aside from that you pretty much just say yes to everything lol

Missed events are red in the events tab and completed events are green, hence the names.

When's the last time we even fucked Ami? Feels like it's been a while. Maybe since the Nodoka threesome?
Nodokathon 2, so 0.50.

I honestly should have guessed this - thanks for the answer!

I'd never have the energy to replay the game to miss events (Though I keep channeling that energy to arguably equally useless directions), I just read the dialogue with URM. Ami has the most interesting red path dialogue by far when certain scenes can break the 4th wall and intentionally glitch out and end early.

A: Why is Maya's ass so fat.
So true, that thing was taking up half the damn screen. As it should though after being gassed up like it has. Can't decide if I liked that part or the part where she still has her costume on more.

Also rather than try and chase something like Lessons in Love one could always go the other way around and read something on the opposite side of the spectrum from it. I started Making*Lovers not too long ago and it's a great fun rom-com VN.

You should try "Out of Touch", imo. It's my standard recommendation. It has a long story, interesting plot, halfway finished. Just as LiL, it has its problems, but hey - what doesn't?
Question for you, or anyone else who played "Out of Touch" for that matter.
I remember trying it some time ago because of all the praise it gets. I only played the very beginning to be fair, but I somehow found it rather...cringe? I don't know, it felt very "anime", for the lack of a better term. And I do understand that LiL itself is very much Anime-inspired thanks to the dev being a huge weeb (just imagine what'll happen once he lives in Japan, oh boy). But it didn't click with me.
Do you think it's one of those games that might give off the wrong impression in the beginning and you ease into it, or is it a "you get what you see" kind of deal?

Interestingly enough, the dev's other game, Tropicali, I found very well made. It's obviously not as grand and complex, but I suppose it scratches that management/gameplay kind of itch in my brain. And it's clear the writer is talented, in sort of a similar way to Sel, with a good sense of humour and wit in his writing, including foreshadowing and fairly well developed characters (for a game that is not super deep, Tropicali that is). I also just really like the flair of the game, with the Hispanic music and those Tropico (the 2001 game) vibes overall.

Also I'm pretty sure in other threads mods get really pissed when discussing other games, but seems like nobody checks this over here :KEK:

Also, I think there's good arguments for both paths. I am one of these degenerates distinguished gentlemen that play the good uncle route and this is basically my take on this.

It's twofold. On the one hand, Sensei in the beginning of the game sees himself as a foreign parasite that took over a stranger's body and, in extension, his life. He doesn't fear consequences and just does what he feels like. It makes sense for this character to just go with the flow and give in.

Today's Akira has grown so much by now though that it feels (or would feel, I guess, since I'm not that far yet on my green route replay) out of character for him to still fuck his, now more or less official, daughter. Especially once he regains the feelings of true fatherhood that he experienced with Himawari. To me personally, it just doesn't vibe well and I almost do wish that Sel just didn't give this option in the beginning and made it kinetic, to leave open the option of him fending Ami off eventually as he matures. Which I don't see happening now.
Akira already kind of does this with Chika or even Niki weirdly enough, he pushes them out of his (love) life, but he somehow wouldn't do that to the person that is essentially his daughter. And again, especially now would be the time where he should realize that.

Ah that's a good point. I forgot what things were like at the beginning of the game. Akira, and by extension, the player, has no idea what's going on or who anyone is. Also, I don't know how the game was marketed at launch, but I know I 100% got this game for wank material so of course I'm gonna fuck everyone the game allows me to. It's kinda funny, we sorta grow with Akira as we play through the game.

I guess it largely depends on what you found cringe, because part of it is on purpose in the beginning (it's explained later, but it's a huge spoiler).

That being said, if you found the style itself to be cringe, there's not much to do. This is from the latest update:

But yeah, the story is super transcendental and whenever it gets even a little bit deep, you're bombarded with asses and thighs to not be overwhelmed :ROFLMAO:

If you don't mind spoilers, I have written a "story so far" for "Out of Touch" some time ago: it's the very beginning of the post.

It's the MC's niece. And it's built around a harem. If you choose not to fuck someone you'll end up missing story content.

You have the option to fuck your niece, basically. She's the one with red hair in the preview images.

The game is a singular narrative so no, you can't focus on just one character, building relationships with and having sex with all 35 characters is part of the overall canon story (though not all are sexual partners yet at this point in development). There's a few you're given the option not to start a sexual relationship with but most relationships are mandatory. As part of the roadmap there will eventually be a "purity route" for every girl where you get to play a retelling of the story with one girl as the sole love interest, but that's years away from being developed.

The protagonist will have sex with every single one of his students, not up to you. You can decide if he has sex with his niece (said incest), but that's it. You can also decide on some of the adults he has sex with. All in all, it should be around 28/35 required harem members.

If you don't mind spoilers of a sexual nature only, here's a chart with every sexual interaction thus far (no change since 0.52):

It's also not a you being the protagonist sort of game, you pretty much follow the story of a certain dude, which has very deep and disturbing backstory.

Oh god, the cope Dean... lmao, be merciful to my poor smoker's lungs... as a degenerate Green Pather, there are no gentleman here, we're all corrupt perverts... :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, let me tell you straight up, this ain't the game for you, what you're looking for, you won't find it. Think of it like a mousetrap, you're lured in by pictures of cute teen girls and some yummy tags, and then trap springs and you get a lubeless ass fuck with a fist-sized spiked dildo... pretty much no one here faps to this game, it's not that kind of game...

Thanks for this. I kind of got the impressions that's the case from some of the comments and reviews for that game, so I think I know what it might refer to.
The cringe part is mostly about the MC that I found utterly uninteresting and just the initial vibe I got from the characters.
Which is obviously not very fair to judge so early into such a long game. I vaguely remember not immediately hitting it off with LiL either, though the game kinda also looked worse back then (old heads in here still remember the character sprites).

And as I said, I didn't mind the style. I liked it in Tropicali good enough and I'm not insanely picky. So I'll most likely just give it another go.
I won't let myself get spoiled though, but thanks for the suggestion!

I'm pretty sure every game on F95 is marketed off as wank material :BootyTime:
This one was no exception really, it was initially just seen as a rage bait VN harem parody, that essentially played like a typical harem but subverted your expectations.

I'd imagine that the average/typical initial experience of most of the thread dwellers on here was something like:
"Oh this game seems good, let's see what this is all about. Damn, the characters are cute, the writing is pretty decent too. Oh fuck, shit's going down already, neat. *unzips pants* *FUCKED UP THINGS HAPPENING* *pants getting aggressively zipped up* NOPE.EXE"
And then you just eventually stay for the story and kind of just theorize what's actually happening.

It essentially turned from a "Anime isekai parody harem horror" game into a "Sherlock Holmes if it was set in a weird alternative universe and Sherlock was a depressed piece of shit with childhood trauma and strong Ephebophilia" game.
