Yeah, and an unnecessary effort most of the time, as well. Sel has proved that whenever he wants us to really understand something, he's very much on the nose. Like Nodoka telling us about the existence of multiple worlds, one on the top of each other. Something that was previously mentioned in the game, almost literally. But how were we supposed to pick that one up among all the gibberish he wrote? He knows this, hence why he needs a semi omniscient character saying in front of our faces what's the shit that sticks.
So, my view on this is: if you have a big brain and like to speculate about every single thing and coming up with theories, by all means go have fun. The game will give you plenty of opportunities to do so. And if you are a dummy like me, and sometimes you are afraid of this story being too complex for you... don't worry, major plot points will be spoonfed to you, and all the complexity is just about the feelings you get out of it, as he said recently.
