Dipper's Hit Rate currently is 90%, it shouldn't be so bad, but the next update will be more focused in expanding the forest area and tweaking the combat, so I will look further into this.
Yes, from now on I will mostly add new girls that will be essential to the current part of the main story. (Not that I will stop adding optional girls anymore, it will just not be my focus for a while.)
There are already some girls waiting for something since 0.01, so I will be giving more attention to that.
Is there a trick to defeating Mavis that I'm missing? She hits like a truck and has tons of HP; do you just need to grind a bunch/buy items before going to fight her?

I recommend getting dipper to at least lvl 4-5 then buying the 80% heal pot maybe the defense one too after that you have to pray to the rng gods that you don’t get the 10% miss chance

Ok, I just needed to grind some more. I wish this game had a more sensible difficulty curve because it's easy to breeze past most fight prior to the graveyard at like level 4 until all of a sudden you get hit with something like that. I know it warns you that it's hard, but you really have no frame of reference for what that means.

I think base chance to hit at 95 base and modified by weapons/stats is the way to go. Most people just want to spam attack and get through the fights most of the time they shouldn't really get in the way or slow things down.
A couple things, gameplay wise. I don't think a miss chance for the player is bad, but I don't think your basic attack should have a miss chance or at least such a high miss chance as 10% is. It's your basic attack, it should be the most reliable, yet weakest attack in your arsenal. If you want to keep the miss chance on it, than at least raise it to a 95% chance.
Mavis is a huge difficulty spike kinda out of nowhere. I know the game warns you about the difficulty. Which honestly I'm not thrilled about the warning, feels sorta out of place, there's better ways to indicate difficulty or better prepare them for the Graveyard. An easy one would be to have some sort of miniboss in the forest before you collect the Third Journal. Just something to force you to grind a tiny so the player is around level 6, 7 or 8 by the time they get to the graveyard.
Also after you beat the final enemy in the Graveyard, it immediately forces you into the boss fight with Mavis. This can mean you going into a pretty tough fight without a chance to heal or replenish MP. Just give the player control and be able to approach Mavis on their own so they can properly prepare for the fight. I haven't died to this personally, but I can certainly see this being frustrating to someone that does.
I feel like healing items ought to be rebalanced, and what I mean by that is just not having them heal by percent. It makes them, very, very overpowered. It's a problem games like YIIK have, it makes the other, more unique healing items worthless because why wouldn't you just use the fairly cheap item that gives you 80% of your healthpool back. Healing by percent should be limited to special, rare items or healing items that can only be used outside of battle.
I do like the game and the, you know porn. But the game is very clearly trying to emulate Persona, so I think it's battle mechanics should be scrutinized a little bit more than most games on this site. You could make a very cool thing here, a porn game RPG that's actually a very good RPG in it's own right.

In fact for the next update I am working around the idea of different types/modifiers of Dipper's bat, and a rework to Mabel's skills, so she can be more of a support for Dipper instead of carrying him.

I do admit that the whole "combat" part of my game is a mess, full of unbalanced things. I've been tweaking some of it between 0.01 and 0.03 to try to make it a bit better, but nothing really big.
For 0.04, my focus will be on fixing this part of the game, there will be new areas in the forest, new enemies, but most important, I'm trying to make the combat feel good to everyone, thankfully this time I will have some people to try it out while I'm working on it. (Thanks my good helpers!)
Mavis fight is a strange one, there are a lot of people who did not had any problem with it, but there was also a lot of people who did have a problem with her, the miniboss idea is a good one to help the player to measure the difficulty for the actual upcoming boss, so I will think more about that.
And since I will be changing quite a bit about the combat, I will revisit the graveyard battles too, and I should be able to give the player a way to heal before entering the battle against her.
The consumables are really difficult to work with in RPG Maker, and to give them more flexibility, I need some plugins, that in the current state of my game, it can even break some old saves if I add it, so I need to be careful, but I will look into them again too, since I will be changing Mabel's combat specialty to a more supportive one.
At first what I really wanted to get from Persona was the "normal life" gameplay, but I ended up using it a bit for the combat too.
But now after a lot of suggestions like yours, I have a better idea of what type of combat I should do, and I hope I can do it!
Maybe it will not be perfect while on RPGM, but I will be moving to Unity hopefully by the end of the year, so I can properly do what I really want for the game.
Does this happens everytime and are you playing in a new save or a 0.02 save?
I'm trying to replicate the problem but nothing happens.

so about this , its my first time playing i dont have any saves whatsoever i did extract the files once more in case i had a corrupt file but it still gave me the same error, not sure if i have to extract it using a specific language or something
here is a update it seems i get this error when i interact inside of the cellphone anything i press it gives me the error
I feel like with all the different 'guest' characters the creator might be sabotaging themselves. There are like 20 of them, some of them well-known, some of them more obscure and they won't consistently be featured in updates, but obviously there is the expectation that they will be. Sure Cammy looks hot, but, when is she going to get an update? That also means you also have 20 more characters to work on that might come at the cost of development time for the Gravity Falls characters, especially some which don't appear in this game (.Gifany, Tambry, Candy Chiu, Pyronica)
I think the work so far is great, but I do think they have bitten far too much this early in development
Honestly seconded. Even the 40% heals are very powerful because they are dirt cheap and heal almost half your HP, I went into the graveyard really unprepared, but still barely won because I just quickly bought 11 of those.

Yeah this is a really weird problem, no one else has reported this so far, sadly I can't replicate and the only thing that I found on the internet, is that it is not being rendered in time, but this could have a lot of reasons, it can be my game at fault, or even your PC.
I think the game needs to work on its pacing. As is, you defeat Mavis, turn Mabel into a magical girl, and then have nothing to do until the game eventually has Mabel say she wants to make costumes, and then you have nothing to do for a few days while that happens. Either fill up that time with content, or just have it happen immediately the next day.
Edit: to elaborate on this a bit, the game is basically linear in an open world. You have to do event A to unlock B, which then unlocks event C and so on. This isn't inherently terrible, and is pretty par for the course for games on this site. However, if that's the case, you need A to *immediately* unlock B, which then *immediately* unlocks C. Either lean into the linear nature of the story, or have a much more open sandbox approach that gives you plenty to do in between events of other story lines.
