Do I need to watch Gravity Falls first to better understand the lore of this game?

Were you playing from a save from before v0.03? As far as I know due to some major changes on the game it can only support v0.03+ saves with the new versions.

For now yes, you can also unlock Mabel to help you out in the fights.
Not really, there's some references to the show but I try to give some hints of what happened within the dialogues if it is something important, to help people understand/remember better what happened.
There should be an option to go to the Graveyard when leaving the Shack area.
Weird, I will check.
As for Takemi's scene that you asked previously, since it was a rework of her original scene you can only watch it with a new save or from the Gallery.

I've just tested it with a few saves that I had from v0.03 and v0.04 and the Gallery was working properly.
Can you send me your save so I can check if there's something wrong with it?

Yeah it's a rare error, I got same error again during intro and it looks like I can't continue this game until fix it

Yeah, for some reason your save did not synced properly with the new version and kept those scenes locked, I've fixed it for you.
I will look into making sure the syncing system will take into account a few more variables to ensure that won't happen again in future updates.

Just so I know, after you returned from the tree trunk mission, it triggered Pacifica's dialogue on the next day, and right after that, Dipper called Vaulty and talked to her about a new bat? Have you completed her quest too? If not try to sleep to the next day again and it will trigger, after that the graveyard should be unlocked.
And just to make sure, the way to go to the Graveyard is on the same way to go to the city/pool, not the forest.
The links are just different mirrors, you only need to download one of them and unzip the .rar file using Winrar, I'm unsure if 7zip works with .rar files too.
After extracting it you can play the game by opening Game.exe.
