Regarding Koikatsu STILL IMAGE renders vs ANIMATIONS...

The sequence of nearly identical images utilizes the dissolve fade transition to make it look like the character's expression and the head is moving slightly.

We try to keep it to 1 image for every 2 lines of dialogue, instead of a still image for 10-20 lines of text. That way it's not boring and stagnant.

Animations are reserved for longer monologues and action events. Some animations are being made as we replace some of the still images with "blinking, breathing" animation loops.

Without delving into the use of the new "TIMELINE" animation mod, which requires much more time to produce longer animation sequences, we simply have chosen to use multiple images in a slideshow every line or every other line to keep it from looking boring or stagnant.

Yes, there are some events where the camera angle changes perhaps once or twice in total. But animating characters changing facial expressions mid-animation creates glitchy movements that look completely unnatural.

There are some very popular games on this site and others that use 1 image for 20-30 lines regularly. Sometimes, it's even just an image of an empty room, the ceiling, or a blank wall. We're at least trying to keep a sort of flow of movement through short loops and still images.

If the demand is high enough and I get lots of requests for a particular scene or fetish I don't mind looking into it, but so far this is a first.

I personally think a drug induced and or forced sissification storyline would be cool, and would fit the whole theme of depravity pretty well. Maybe make some third rate villain character to feminize and bully for a few events. Could either keep them as a pet or sell them off to the company at the end of the line. Maybe even give them to the labs for a bit at the end of it so the good doctors can give us back a trans cat girl.

I'm not going to put a lot of time into this nor correct anything as your post is so full of false statements, and inaccuracies, that it's guaranteed the most ignorant post I've had the displeasure of reading during the development of this game. It's one for the hall of fame.

Maybe you should actually dive a little bit deeper into what it takes to create games because any dev with actual experience would never write that stuff. It's not even feedback, I'm not even sure what your goal is with that post, especially since the plans have been laid out openly for a long time now.

I absolutely don't get it, all of that because a smaller single update didn't meet your expectations on the amount of sex scenes? Seriously, what do you expect to achieve with that post? I'm truly dumbfounded because if you actually read the weekly SS posts you would be 100% informed and wouldn't write that stuff unless we're living in completely different realities.


Thank you very much! I'm pretty open about a lot of stuff and this could be cool, but the workload as of now is already more than enough. I think it's too much of a niche which would probably work better as a standalone game. Another issue is that I know absolutely nothing about the femboys and the gay scene which makes for difficult writing. I never say never though. I must say that I'm consent with variety of girls. It's not too much, and most definitely I would add some few more, at least to the journal. And I don't think that shortening our harem/toys to 3-4 girls would be good for this kind of VN, not for this for sure. I'm really enjoying watching events, scenes, stuff with side characters as much as with so called "main girls", sometimes even more than with them. So yeah, more girls=more fun.

I would tottally keep supporting this vn with my wallet if not keep going problems with keeping it full. But you have still my emotional support, even if it can't feed you

Point by point:

I think I know plenty of how to create games and what constitutes a good game, kinda hard for you to judge me?
It was "feedback/an answer" on what you wrote before my post and what you been writing on your subscribestar.

Did I say that I did not like this update, did you read actually what I wrote?
Did I say anything about the amount of sex scenes IN THIS update, I was talking about "events" VS "sex scenes".
Most people wants sex scenes, like what do you think would happened if you did 40 events but 1 sex scene, would people be happy with an update like that?
My issue was/is that you keep focusing on the wrong things that even your subscribers want you to focus on, look on the polls and posts here. Most people want events with the main girls then some, keyword: SOME other girls, but not all 48 different ones (24 times 2 paths)...

This is great, as it should be!

BUT that makes the amount images kinda irrelevant for the average player, what most players are looking for are the sex scenes.

And just so we are clear, I want a balance with both character/story development and sex scenes.

And do you think all your subscribers read your posts?
You get like 4-5 likes and like 3 comments on most posts, people react with a subscribe and by playing your game not the posts write.

Please point out the "false statements" as I don't seem to see where they are.

I'm sorry if you misunderstood something I wrote in my past post but like I said I write it because I really do like your game and see potential, you should be so much bigger then you are but like a lot of other creators here you making some basic mistakes to grow bigger.

And its fine, my first game was 100% for self, I don't care what people said about it.

But when you write "We are two very hard-working devs and we barely have enough money to make a living although it's going better with every new update." I reacted and my post might have come off as somewhat aggressive and that was not my intention.

Me and some other developers are trying to create a platform (think steam but for porn) so people like us can come together and create great stuff and learn from each other, to bad to say it still a few years away I'm sad to say.

Its hard for me to express myself and ideas in these kinds of posts, left you a DM before but understand if you wont talk to me, wont bother you again.

Wish you all the luck in the world and can't wait to see how this game develops.

I'm stuck. Day 74, and I haven't been able to trigger anything for a while, and each character's quest task is "do other stuff." And the two or three that aren't "do other stuff" aren't triggering. Did I get soft-locked out of progression somehow?

But pretty much every girl is at "wait for the boss" except Emily/Sophia loop, Lilly, Nina, Nani, Ramoray, Stella, Luna, Sarah/Elsa loop. I understand the instructions point to "try doing other stories," but when ALL the task hints say exactly that, it's absolutely zero help at all. And the ones that don't, they simply aren't triggering. I am visiting all the different locations and characters at each time of the day with no progression. I feel like I'm supposed to have unlocked the store, bar, and lab by now, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I don't know how many other people are having this much trouble, a few people have posted being stuck - with the only help being "follow the instructions that were not helping you to begin with." If this is a frequent issue, it might be worth considering replacing the current vague instructions with more precise explanations, even if it means including spoilers.

Bar is accessible with Emily after advancing Lilly and Sophia
FIB event triggers in either Principal Office or Church
Lab unlocks with 3 steps: 1. Chloe is angry at Uni Pool, 2. Ramoray asks for something in the Mansion Lobby, 3. Chloe is less angry and agrees to talk with you at Uni Pool.

Boss arrives after Day 68 - sleep in MC bed/Rose bed. But all tasks should say WAIT FOR THE BOSS before it can trigger.

I've also done steps 1 and 2 for the lab, but for some reason I can't trigger 3, and Chloe is just staying mad.

In 0.12 the journal got changed a bit so players hopefully don't get stuck. With like 400 events it's a bit complicated to get it 100% right but it will be eventually since I monitor that stuff closely, especially when multiple players get stuck at certain points.

Basically what you have to do is complete all other quests up to day 68 after which part two of the game unlocks.
Chloe won't be mad anymore when you've progressed Sarah for a bit. If you're stuck, feel free to drop your save file either here, pm or on in Discord and we'll check out what's missing.

I think figured out what happened by loading an older save. I actually was soft-locked.
I somehow missed a number of events with Emily during Sophia's route that would have opened up the bar and shop. Unfortunately, I cannot say for certain how to replicate it, but I think I basically didn't do any of Emily's stuff by the time of Sophia's day 65.

No new watersports stuff in this update but a bunch of surprises here and there. It's a bit of a "smaller" sized update that took less time than the usual 3 to 4 months but a very important one IMO. It's mostly focused on improving existing content and filling up the world a bit while adding a bunch of newer/smaller events. Major story shifts/events will be happening in the next major update that we're currently working on.

I'm not sure how since nothing really changed. There are always save files available in opening post or through Discord.

They're massively different, choices show up in certain story lines which are clearly marked. A very important major choice shows up somewhere mid-game and is also made very clear.

The Good Path is overall more romantic, focused on building a harem, is way more mellow, and basically recommended for players that don't want anything too wild.

Dark Paths are more fetish based and basically turns the game absolutely not vanilla, things get pretty dark and because of that is not for everyone, so choose wisely.

In general though, there are quite a lot of fetishes where you can choose to opt out if it's not your thing.
Aside from that, don't take things too seriously and you should have lots of fun.

'Pay a visit to Natalie in her room' and 'Visit the training room after day 109' (Luna) don't seem to want to trigger for me, everything else in the book is done... I did find a little event involving both of them on the University staircase, but that didn't make them then work, there might be another prerequisite that's appeared after seeing that one but it's a bit arduous checking every single spot over and over again.
