Not that it really matters, but can you at least tell us what is your relationship with Tereman and why you have access to these renders?

Since you are his friend give him a friendly advice...
"Don't overdue it with the mv plugins and especially avoid double entries".
The number of the plugins and especially the order they are placed can and will heavily impact the game play and performance.
Sometimes "less" is "more"...

I still never got any help about the part I'm stuck on. When going to get whiskey for the hobo it shows active quest on the door of the shop in the office area but when I go inside I have no idea what to do. Whenever I talk to the man at the counter he just asks if I want my food supply and that's it. Been stuck on it for months and would love to know what to do.
I played a while ago so I don't remember a lot. The first time you have to go to that store is to buy some booze when hobo asks you, then (if I remember correctly) you should unluck the scene in the barn. If you are stuck at that point (buying whiskey for the first time) it might be a bug, perhaps you should use a save file and retry.
I might be wrong but once I didn't read the text and I went to the grocery store instead of the other one in the shopping district and when I went out I met the kid and started the abandoned house quest. I don't know if it was an another quest or the same ... anyway I repeat: I played a long time ago.
