you can tell from the systems design for the game that the dev is very ambitious. the game is probably one of the best in its genre right now. the systems aren't fully integrated yet, and there's probably still a lot of not-flashy, not-sexy work to be done. if he wants to be funded for the entire course of development he needs to pace the lisa content or people will get what they want and unsub. just strategy, no hard feelings

It was mentioned in one of his Patreon post too but since nothing was mentioned in the game description here, pretty no one here knew it.

To be fair to the dev, he did say before starting with the other girls, he will leave Lisa at a satisfying state (probably with an ahegao ). So people won't be blue balled while waiting for Lisa's ending.

Once the story with the main girl gets a satisfying conclusion people will unsub even if they are somewhat interested in other girls because it will just take months until any new worthwhile content is available again so he's just trying to maximize the amount of subs while milking the success of the game for as long as possible. 99% of the people making porn games with a crowdfunding business model do similar things the ones that don't are the exception not the rule.

yes but you can take your time before the last major update and work at the same time for the new content. In that way ppl dont wait to much time for new shit + if you do a good game ppl will come for the new shit you make. that just my opinion tho many devs work that way.

v0.12 is out on patreon, just got to wait until its out for everyone but its certainly not abandoned. Every creator has their pace I guess.

Nothing is stopping people from not supporting the dev when they don't provide anything. They can just only support them whenever the dev releases something. Or they can lurk in the threads or beg for leaks. If it is the people's own time and money then they can spend it however they want.

If I remember correctly, the rules here at F95 are such that the authors must to do nothing for 18 month not the 3 month for the game to be tagged as abandoned.

I really like Obli game, but I just can justify paying a 45$ sub for an unfinished game....it would be different if it was like pay 30$ and you get all future updates just like big company games do on steam. It will be a few weeks until it hits my sub tier though sadly excited for the update!
