Have you ever heard of PPP? Daily median income across the world is less than $10 a day. In some communist countries like Cuba people earn basically nothing in income but still have access to food, shelter and education.
But leaving that aside, I take offence on how you imply that the people living in poverty in third world countries have themselves to blame for their circumstances, when most people on this forum(including me) are lucky to be born in luxury, in a well established country and know nothing about the struggle of people who weren't so lucky.

At risk of derailing this thread further, when did I ever say folks in 3rd world countries are to blame for their circumstances? I'm literally typing from a third world country in south east asia. I know what it's exactly like
