That's what I do, but the question wasn't about that, but about the logic behind choosing between “love” and “rise”...

TLDR : Old remnants. Even the points hardly make a diff as the threshold is so low. Just click on dialogue you wanna see.

I meant the vacation with Lauren, which you go to the nightclub if on sario path, but if not, you go to the beach with her, and each has a different scene.

It already done and up. Not sure, but you might need to start new game, if you still hear the sound.
