Couple a reasons - did not use compatibility, did not run the 32X.
Couple a more reasons: did not have Ren”py SDK, did not use/assign/deafault use of your dedicated video card.
This game needs a lot of space to load FX and animations in startup.
Your OS needs to know what a program is in order to run it, so there is a disconnect in there.

Any fix for Mac with the same error?
I tried putting it in Contents/Resources/autorun/game but it doesn't work
It should work with Mac so I guess you didn't put the file in the right place. I don't know Mac so I don't know if it's the right folder or not.

I guess in the end you should have: Contents/Resources/autorun/game/script/core_game/core.rpy

For people with the isnumeric error, can you try the attached file?

Unzip it in LISC-0.5.2-pc\game.
This worked for me. I had to move the "core_game" folder out of the "scripts" and into "LISC-0.5.2-pc\game" but then it worked fine.

LISC.exe is not a valid win32 application on windows 7,64bit. When trying to start the game.

Why? Not even 32 exe version works, I have not experienced this problem with any other game.
Please somebody know a fix? =)
