Dude... why is there so much hate on this game? Sure it has bad english, but otherwise it's a pretty decent game. Lots of scenes, animated, has a refreshing story. It can be polished but we're still in the development stages. People are too quick to judge man.

Didn't anyone ever watch "Sliders" or read Lewis Carroll or any of the hundreds or thousands of sci-fi/fantasy authors who wrote this kind of stuff over the past couple hundred years in Western countries? No one reads Marvel or DC comics?

When a Japanese word expresses something new or original it might be worth adopting. Otherwise, leave the Japanese words to Japanese-language fora.

isekai is a word that means "being taken to an alternate reality" just like the japanese term "netorare" means to 'steal a lover' or 'cuckold'. not to mention the other non-english terms that are commonly used in regular speech such as quesadilla (heated shell with cheese), tortilla(a shell), spaghetti(noodles with sauce), ballet(fancy dancing), cafe(coffee shop), croissant(fancy bread), faux pas(embarrassing event), kindergarten(0th grade), rucksack(backpack), and so on.

just because you dont like japanese terms doesnt mean english speakers wont do what they always have and adopt them into our language. if you dont like it feel free to make a new topic where you complain about every word in the english language because it all came from somwhere.

first of all sushi is not "eating your bait" its raw fish(normally, it can also be raw vegetables or eggs). japanese people do not eat worms or other bait animals unusual to americans

second of all your original point of isekai being "alternate realities" functions how you would describe sushi. i can point at raw fish and say sushi i can point at an alternate reality and say isekai. im shortening 2 words into 1 word in both cases. and thats assuming i take what you had said because "alternate realities" isnt an isekai "being reborn or transfered to another world with memories intact" is an isekai, shortening 10 words into 1.

isekai fits your "loan words" definition even better then the example you gave since your example isnt even accurate
