The other day, I had this guy come up to me and say "If working an extra job to produce content, which you even release for free, doesn't earn you gratitude from your fanbase, I can't imagine what would."

Well, you may release it for free but there's quite a lot of us who patreon you anyway, because it's worth it and the right thing to do.

As for the Troll, I'm usually glad when they show their true faces so quickly, then I can just block them immediately. It's way more annoying when they first appear to be humans and you interact with them, only to later discover what they are and you feel sort of ... muddied ... by the experience.

Yeah. They go on block pretty quickly for me, but once in a while I'll see a reply, have a little peek, and publicly pick one apart for the amusement of the crowd. TBH, it's hardly a sport as they're pretty clueless and all mouthing the same party line.

He didn't give a timeline, and anyway a lot of people even adult creators do steam EA these days, some of my favorite indie games I got EA and they weren't finished for at least a year after, even with teams of 10+ people.

Not really. We live in the age of EA in which you can place unfinished games into the store and ppl toss money at you. Some even do not finish their game at all and still can sell it. Only after 2 years and many complaints will the "steam pulls the game" happen.

If we assume worst case and best case scenario in that regard i can not see him lose anything out of this but only gains.

yes the game should definitely go after steam that would surely have a lot of success because the game has a top quality captivating story humor and much more so everything a top seller needs

so i think there are enough characters it doesn't need more you can see it with sio many other masses of characters and then only a few characters come out with minimal content and that would not fit this game it has such an intense story and atmosphere that would be ruined...

of course it is Naughtyroad's decision, maybe he has already planned more from the start, but then he also knows what he is doing, just he shouldn't let others push him to do it, but I trust that naughty because he ALWAYS did a perfect job

People need to work on their reading comprehension... NR already said there were more characters he wanted to introduce. He also said he's not going to add filler... Do people have NR on their ignore list? Is that what's going on here?

Well, there's one or two new characters I still want to introduce. Their roles will not be as large as the existing characters, but who knows where they go (honestly, I'm not entirely sure either). But as to the question of will we have a little detour? Well, not at the cost of spinning out the pace of progression and padding it with fluff for the sake of extending. But I wouldn't mind spending some more time on the road with this cast, as long as it doesn't feel like fluff. When I block out the next chapter is when I really gotta make some decisions about that, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, all. Right now, the storylines with the established characters will proceed just as I intended them to, and whomever will be added at his stage will be support for those storylines, not new characters in their own right.

They're not meant to be universally attractive as with most of the games in here, but trust me they'll grow on you if you decide to give them (and the game) a try
