O'key... I reached the end of present content and I think I managed to see all potential routes (available so far).
The game is great, there is no doubt about it. Texts are awesome, it's a crime not to read it (so, hands off that CTRL key dickheads!). But.. And that's a big BUT naughtyroad.. (sorry, couldn't help myself )

The MC is a dummie. Like a crash-test dummie. I can't understand why is he so passive? I mean, look at all those scenes with girls on a couch - he sits with his head in TV, messmerized in it with such adorable cuties next to him. And? Nothing.. A salt sculpture department. The girls should wipe the dust off him from time to time.

Seriously? WHO THE HELL WOULD STAND SUCH PROXIMITY AND DID NOTHING?! <exhales quickly with a mad look on his face>

And don't get me wrong here - I'm not talking about some serious groping, kinky touching, cleavage staring & drooling and so on (well, I would do) but at least some sort of Interactivity for God's sake! Most experts agree that 70-93% of human communication is non-verbal and yet we can only decide wheather to say something or sit silently (wax figure strikes again!).

I can recall a single time when MC could decide wheather or not to ruffle Denise's hair or tickle her and thats it, for 6 long chapters. All he could get of himself. Pathetic.

I know, my inner perv is talking through me because I NEVER, EVER missed any opportunity to dip my fingers in girls' panties but.. hey, it's me ok?

So I repeat myself here - I would like to have some option to wake that sleeping beauty and turn his head away from TV and be able to decide wheather or not to hug them, stroke their back or shoulders or smell their hair.. SOME interaction with human beings living next to me that are supposed to matter so much for me.

Ps. But of course I have nothing against some serious groping.

Maybe try playing again, as this isn't a balls-to-the-wall sextravaganza from start to finish. Much of the story doesn't lend to constant groping by the MC through the obviously gradual buildup.

The MC strokes, rubs feet, hugs, etc. while on the couch (if you're talking about the couch scenes). He accidentally went farther than intended once and it became a moment of some concern: they are his wards and this game has build-up aplenty, it doesn't make sense for the MC to be all grabby on a constant basis: he's trying to set a good example with them, but has the ability to follow their requests for more contact, too. It's only in the most recent chapter where inhibitions are truly being pulled down.

Outside of the couch, there have been many close-touching moments with the wards, such as in the bathroom, at the computer and so forth.

No, you got me wrong. I wasn't referring to EVERYTHING he does, I was just saying that we have such a small impact on what he does. Most of the choices are about to say or not to say something. I meant ADDITIONAL activities that we could start as a players. So I don't count background animations because they are non-interactive, just passive.

As I said, those activities don't make sense through much of the story with the wards. You're asking for it to be a different type of story, this hasn't been about constant sexual activities - otherwise, those would have made sense to offer as actions.

And yet again you got me wrong. Where did I say about constant sexual activities? (ok, in p.s. but I was j/k) Since when hugging someone, stroking their arms or smelling their hair is an act of sexual activity? It may have sexual context but it's not what I am talking about here. Look at those couch scenes again, please. What do you see? I see a man sitting with his eyeballs sticked to the TV. Would you do that in his place with a girl like Macy laying next to you? You need to get into his shoes though, they aren't just a couple of hotties sitting next to him, they are his daughters wards, he spend literally all their lives with them, so is not like he suddenly would feel the need to do something special while doing a normal activity with them.

Because I would felt that way when a person close to me never ever turns his head away from TV nor ever starts any interaction with me during 'common-time'. Subconscious stroking doesn't count - I treat my cat this way and he is not a human being, who in majority have bigger emotional needs.

not gonna lie, I kinda see your point, but I think is more a fault of the activity itself, I can't speak for anyone but myself but when I watch a movie I just...watch the movie, I literally abstract myself from the outside world to focus on the story and the characters, of course if Im with someone I might engage on some subconscious stroking but in general I just don't pay attention to the outside world, maybe the MC is like that.

Fair enough. But do you act this way every day? Look at those girls, their mimics - they are alive! On the other hand there is the MC that is completely static. There is no way of reading his body language cause this guy seems .. dead. That's why I called him "dummie". From a player perspective I would like to push that dummie into some movement, you know? And not just sit like him frozen and rewind some text from time to time. It's not a kinetic novel, is it?

Uhm allow me to adress this issue. When i had my divorce and met my current wife (she is hungarian) there was no "get to know you" dating phase like i was used to before. I was not aware of the changes in the dating game and the aggressive behaviour of women nowadays.

Before i knew what the fuck was going she was already riding into the sunset with me holding on to dear life and checking if i had a heart attack. And afterwards she told me she was moving in with me and that i better meet her parents if i wanna continue on living. And all i could think off was "Dear god my heart... stop trying to kill me women"

Considering the fact that our chicas are of similar if not even more aggressive nature when it comes to the MC all he can do is being passive or someone might rip his dick off in the process. Denise is not as passive as she wants us to believe and Macy is like my Wife. She wants, she gets or she simply takes it. The word "no" doesn't exist for her.

If i would be the MC i would be passive like a statue. Not only because those are my wards and i don't want to do anything they are not comfortable with (they need to initiate anything they want) but also because i would be scared shitless of Macy finding out i grabbed a handfull of Denise in her Presence.

When Macy gets mad the words of Denise or the MC would be swallowed by pure rage and someone would die. Going by experience the MC would be the first victim.

Some interesting points coming up in this discussion also by fried, Kionashi and Miðgarðsormr

I think there's a couple of factors that play into this, and some come down to specifics for a scene.

First of all, there's the MC's that's being kept out of the image at all times and not moving about a lot, that adds to the sense of his disembodiment.

The reason for keeping his face out of frame is a principle choice, but wrt to him not moving about all that much: I've experimented with that, but I found that him moving about a lot is quite distracting as the girls go through their emotes while have their conversation, because it looks like he's squirming, sitting up in alarm, settling back as if reassured or bored etc. The body language adds an unintentional non-verbal component to that that doesn't match his voice in those conversations.
That's why in most of the scene's, he's sitting quite still and his voice comes purely from the dialog.

Then there's a definite problem with a more active ("gropy") MC during couch scenes.

Those wouldn't have worked with Macy, as he's yet to have the big "moment" with Macy, which meant they'd have to have been moved into the next chapter entirely and we couldn't have them talking about events and bonding.

In the scenes on the couch with just Denise there is more interaction, and he's stroking her hair as she's satisfying her curiosity about him on the couch, and in most of the other scenes you'll see him stroking her belly and such. But as has been pointed out, the MC is letting Denise set the pace here, and the main reason there's not an option there for him to push for more is a little meta because I didn't want to have Denise refuse on account of her ideas about precedence between her and Macy.

None of that really addresses what you raise, but it does explain why it's done that way.

Nevertheless, not everyone enjoys being passive. While playing the game I sighed from time to time and mumbled "Oh, com'on - do something man!" wishing some additional activity showed up.

"Sitting" there like a rock was a torture sometimes.. As if someone injected MC with anasthesia..

Agreed. On the other hand this behaviour can change in the future depending on what naughtyroad plans for future chapters and what those three do to each other.

Time will tell. But for now we have to endure and be the passive ones again till the next update drops and blows our socks and other body parts away......

Just finished the chapter 6 with entire chapters. Thank you for it, truly. The story, the graphics and every other elements was way ahead of my expectations. This game is very different than other games in industry, emotions make the difference. I wanna write many things to praise this game and the creator, but never will be enough. I am already excited for next chapter. Thanks again and again..

That could just be a product of relying upon word and concept of "simp," and then being painted in a corner when you experience things you'd been taught to despise. Alpha, beta, and simp are just limited social constructs and carry no weight in the wider world.
