Quitting one's main, reliable job (which supports his family and he might also love that job as well, who knows) to develop porn games for potentially very unreliable revenue stream is a huge ask of a dev :) Think for most people, is not remotely worth it. Think he said he made ~minimum wage from this game and if his main job makes even a little more than that, or hell what if he makes $100k/yr, it's like, damn woah, keep that job Naughty!
Yeah, it wasn't until I had to retire a few years early due to disability that I felt free enough to splurge and buy a good rendering computer (though still ironing out problems), and really commit.

For those wondering and still asking why the dev won't do this full time.

1. What the dev does or doesn't do with his daytime job is none of our business. Patreon also does not work in a way that you can demand shit from a dev, company, project. Bought as advertised. If the patreon page states "tip jar, your money supports me greatly etc." it is exactly that.

2. If patreon decides tomorrow your project is not to their liking a dev can lose 100% of his income in a matter of days or even hours. You would have to be insane to actually agree to that. Steam is a different story for now but no one knows if they change their mind again.

3. A day time job is a steady income of money while a patreon project (regardless which) can run great with massive support or absolutely horrible also in a matter of days.

4. If you want a dev or project (regardless which) to actually produce an update, game, project faster and to your liking you have the following options.

A: Throw a ridiculous amount of money at them. (nothing below 500k a month) Thats about the amount you need to start a 2 man company and not fail in the first three months. (Those 2 however have to work their asses off) That will speed up the game dev process round about 10%. If you want to increase that you have to increase the money distribution accordingly.

B: Add something to the project. You can code? animate? have other skills that can make the process involved in said project way faster or easier? Awesome. Offer your help, guidance and get your game maybe faster?

C: Take over the entire thing. You can do better? Your skills are superior? Nice. Make your own game. Same models, same story, same renders and show us how you do all that in half the time, better quality and way faster updates continuing forward.

If those options are not to your liking or you disagree feel free to write about it while we wait for the coming update. However be prepared that if you just want the updates to be faster while adding nothing to the process, patreon or have no clue about game developing we will probably tear you verbally a new exit on your lower back end. :ROFLMAO:

The link should be valid, it's set to never expire and shows up in the invites list on my server as active. In fact, if I generate a new link without expiration date or join limit, it just gives me that same link ( ).

The server requires accounts to have verified their e-mail address though for them to join, and it's set to NSFW, which means you need to turn that on in your settings (and on apple, you can't, ).

Also, if your account's ever been hacked and turned into a spam bot, there's a chance it's been banned. DM me your discord handle if you think that might be it and I'll revoke the ban if there's one.
Sorry for the late reply; nope, nothing of that... I've joined other +18 groups from this very forum also. I'm not using apple (neither laptop, nor phone) The user is working on the other channels, so I don't really know/see what could be the problem... I use to log in via web, but I downloaded the app just in case, and still the same problem.

But it's not really important; my main concern was checking the update deadline and every week or so it's posted here so I just look through the post every now and then :) Thank you very much for your time in any case.

I know a lot of people play these games for the sex but I am really looking forward to the story in the next chapter as well.
especially after the ending to the last chapter.
Me to. It can have the most beautiful renders, but a bad story, That's enough for me to quit playing. If I see potential, I'll wait two-three updates. And if it's sandbox, that's not for me. I prefer good story and good characters AVN.

For the art there is a middle point where I like to see these games exist. I don't want to get too close to the uncanny valley when it comes to the renders, but I also don't want to see messily drawn art that looks like two colorful blobs undergoing mitosis.

The story is what holds it all together because otherwise it is just porn. If I want to see a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" scene there's a hub for that. I'm here for two things 1) a well told story and 2) being able to interact with that story by making decisions in the beginning of the game that eventually fuck up the life of the main character at the end of the game.

And I agree, the last time I enjoyed playing in a sandbox I was 5. Too many developers think that they should include sandbox elements to lengthen the game. They don't understand that if you write a great story people will stick around even when the update is small. I love this game because I feel naughtyroad is one of the few devs out there that figured this out. He makes a great game with a story that I want to read and art that I want to see. Not a lot of people do that.

Wise words, MrFriendly. I agree with everything... Where should I sign for that? ;)

Unfortunately, it seems so few people do agree. At least going by the porn games that proliferate this site. Not going to knock someone for having whatever kink they have. I'd just rather see a lot more thoughtfully done games like LoML than cheap sex scenes between the same 2-3 daz models.

So not too much longer. A fucking year is too long. After a few months you forget a lot. More than 2 months is definitely too long if you're like me over 40 and play several AVNs.
Too bad I guess :ROFLMAO: If it's that big of a problem, can just wait until the whole game is complete so you won't forget the characters during a playthrough. If you decide to play anyways, must not be that big of an issue :p

Maybe I should just wait until complete but I'm not in the best health (an extreme understatement) and might not live long enough. I remember the basic but goddamn! Why not just like 2 month updates but shorter. It takes this long but they are mega huge.
