VN - Ren'Py - Light of My Life [Ch.8 v0.8.2] [Naughty Road]

I really enjoyed this game so far. Played through the most recent update as of this writing.

Yes, it's unconventional in the dev's direction chosen for appearances. I don't really mind that. I thought I would dislike it, which is why I put off downloading for several weeks (maybe more), but I regret waiting. This is the kind of writing you compare other games against (if you care about the story). The characters are believable, their personalities are consistent with themselves and with what you'd expect to evolve over the course of events in a fiction such as this.

Pros:

• Well written
• Relatable dialogue
• The human experience is there, including (naturally) the taboo elements
• Despite the odd appearance of the characters in the game, they're still quite attractive
• I love how creative the interactions and reactions are throughout
• The animations! I never realized just how dull other games' still-framed approach was resting on its laurels until I played this game. I wish more games had subtle (and not so subtle) fluid and not-so-fluid animations.

Cons:

• A bit repetitive; more or less the same cycle of events. I think "grindy" is the term the kids use.
• The writing about the character of the mother, and her influence in the overall direction things take feels noncommittal.
  • I think devs should've decided she either has to influence outcomes, or do away with her involvement entirely after explaining her backstory at the beginning.
• The breasts are a bit boring for me, save for the eldest sister. I'm sure their appearance was every bit something intended, but it just left me desiring a less extreme.
• The scene/s we all want to play - the one/s we downloaded it for - are not (yet) in the game.

Seriously, grab this game if you're into inc. Wonderful title.

I'm a cheap motherfucker and a couple chapters in I refused to keep playing until I'd paid for this game.

If you like good dialogue and emotional bonds, this game is a must play

I really like this game a lot. It has one of the main things that most other games uploaded here seem to lack, consistency. A lot of times, the story seems to come second to the adult scenes or is just an after thought. This one is different, the story is front and center, it has had a lot of time and attention given to it and the results show.

The first positive is the characters.
- Macy is my favorite. She is angry adult who is a little bitter from life experience, but she is never annoying. The way she is written makes it hard not to be sympathetic.
- Denise is very sweet and naive. The way that the MC handles things with her is refreshing. You never go full throttle trying to corrupt her, things just progress naturally and it's a breath of fresh air.
- MC himself is not a creepy lecher. His unwillingness to admit to himself what he really wants at times makes him someone to sympathize with in his own right.

I also appreciate how there are no artificial game overs or surprise lock outs. You can play this game how you like and make your own choices. You don't have to worry that picking the joke dialog is going to ruin your play through.

The art style is love it or hate it honestly. I love it, it's unique and stands out from the crowd.

You should play this game, the story is really nice and the characters are great. The only downside is waiting for the updates. The game isn't finished and sadly, quality work takes time, so updates aren't quick. However I really think once it's complete it's going to be remembered as one of the best you can find here.

Admittedly, I'm not too far into the game yet, but I absolutely love it so far. It's definitely a slow burn, and I was initially put-off a bit by the art style (something I've noticed a few other people mention, which is a shame because this game is absolutely worth it), but it's kind of growing on me, and regardless the story more than makes up for it. I'm normally not a big fan of visual novels, and I will pretty much only play them if they're lewd, but I would honestly play this even if it didn't have any sexual content. The story is so wonderful and well-written - extremely high quality, especially for a porn game (if I may say so), but high quality as a game. It's probably not for everyone, especially people who are just looking for a quick fap, but if you actually care about the story, this is one of the best stories I've seen in a game in a very long time. Honestly, regardless of what you're into, if you've got the patience to actually read the story, you should give this game a shot. I can't wait to play through the rest of it and I'm looking forward to more content from this dev.

Man i absolutely fucking love this game, and After Finishing All Chapters, i gotta say this game really can get you going.....there was moments in the game where im like omg my baby got mugged, ima kill that fucker, but when it turns out she all good, yeah i love this game and can't wait for more.

tl;dr Incredible writing that is brought down by grotesque art style.
This VN was recommended to me as having a surprisingly solid writing and good characters.
Frankly, the CG is off-putting at first. Despite that, the main characters are "animated" very expressively. The shot composition is well done in most cases. Although, there are some scenes that suffer from the Dutch angle.
But the main strength of this VN is the writing. It is unbelievably good for a porn visual novel. The girls have some depth to them; a few moments genuinely had me tearing up. Interactions between the characters range from heart-warming to arousing.
The art style, man, it's the only major downside of this VN. It's caricature level in most cases.
Highly recommend, nonetheless, just for the writing alone.

Unique VN with high production values. The ethnicity of the unconventional models is endlessly debated ... Romani? Who knows! Give them a chance. The art and simple animations are expressive and fun.

This is a story and dialogue heavy game with art and biblical (seriously!) references that aren't found anywhere else.

Choices are usually easy to understand. Some have delayed impact with later references, often just for flavor but occasionally more important. There's definitely an intended path. Branching too far from it will result in missing a lot of content, which is clearly messaged to the player.

Updates take a long time to develop but are substantial with complete chapters and lots of scenes.

Sometimes this game is kind of like a stat grinding game without stats. Some scenes reuse art with slight changes and new dialogue as intimacy develops. There's plenty of new art each update, too, which doesn't follow this pattern.

There are side characters with their own plots and relationships who can provide sexual encounters while the main ones are developing.

Just finished my first play through this. Great stuff!! Glad I waited for there to be a good deal of content, or else I think I would have gotten pretty frustrated with the slow burn, but now that there's enough of it that you can... IDK, sort of stand back and look, I think this is easily an All-Time Top Ten effort. And maybe I'm especially down with Latinas, maybe I've just never been that into fapping to Daz Barbie dolls, but I love the art work and the character design!

Every once in a while something truly unique comes a long that just really impresses you. The stars of this VN have a way of growing on you and getting more and more attractive with every new chapter. The vitality of youth is perfectly captured and the story has genuine emotion and humor. Don't be a 'muppet' by avoiding this one based on initial impressions.

NaughtyRoad has made this so amazing, that the story breaks my heart at times. This is such a fantastic VN that I could give it nothing by 5 stars, I'd give it more if I could. Light of my Life was an accidental find when I was just browsing, but I am SO glad I found it. I am loving everything about this and I recommend this VN to anyone looking for a good story with wonderful characters. The two main ladies are so different, but you can't help but care about them equally. There is a scene between the eldest and MC that my heart just about broke. There were tears, oh yes, there... were... tears. So much emotion conveyed, please give this VN a try, you won't regret it.

Can't really recommend this game enough. I'm a fan of almost all aspects of it. Well written dialogs, real emotions that are not dismissed easily, pleasant story progression pace, and I could go on and on. I really enjoy the characters' looks. Not just the run-of-the-mill standard DAZ model, but there has been put some work into making them look imperfect and asymmetric, which makes them feel more 'real'.
Most compelling to me might be that, despite the obvious underlying theme of... well, incest... it's heavily centered on the wish and obligation to care for those closest to you.

good story, unique characters, and very much teasing if you like that, though the art might not be for everyone. The story pace is good in my opininion, only complaint would be a bit more erotic scenes and less teasing ^^

An excellent story and great art. Im also pleased that the girls / ladies look different from each other and none of them are the typical 3D barbie doll.

The storry is well written and at times fun, I actually laught out loud on multiple occasions.

The game is text heavy so it is probably not the right game/ story for those who don't want to read, but prefer to watch sex scenes.

Второе - внешность персонажей эта задумка создателей, плюс дополнительная реалистичность - идеальных кукол нет.
Третье - если читаешь - история цепляет и уже забываешь, что это какая-то порно-игра, проникаешься к персонажам.

Блин шикарно, я не против был если элементов 18+ не было в игре, отличная визуальная новела.

First, you don't need a deep knowledge of English to play it. Secondly, the appearance of the characters is the idea of the creators, plus additional realism - there are no ideal dolls. Third, if you read it, the story catches on and you already forget that this is some kind of porn game, you get into the characters. Damn gorgeous, I didn't mind if 18+ elements weren't in the game, great visual novel.

This game is in a word a masterpiece. Sometimes a lot of dialogue can get boring and feel like it's just dragging things out. But this game has fun and quirky characters and great dialogue between them which is a thrill to discover. I honestly think this is en example for all devs to look at. It feels like I'm laying it on pretty thick here, but I have played a whole lot of these games and this is easily in my top 5. It's well deserved praise!

I shouldnt 'care' or 'feel guilty' about the characters, anxiety? Anger? where's my bloodly corruption and lust points!! Damn it i even tried avoiding temptation and your MAKING me do it i only want to be a good 'caretaker'

Anyways.. that aside this game so far is great, i wasnt sure about the graphics strangely enough in the screenshots but in game they are excellent . I also was wary of 'story driven' as that can simply mean lots of text about bugger all but I was getting so absorbed in trying to keep anxiety and anger down and everyone happy I was actaully surprised when it started to get suggestive! Not done that in many games on this website

It's not a 'frap fest' as it says and if your not into slow burners or story its not for you but it's definently one of my favourites just the right pace, humour and i hope it keeps going even though it's put me through the 'moral' (look it up) meat grinder and my anxiety is now 15 out of 10 having to make these decisions!

*goes back to rocking back and forth saying 'i want to be good, do i want to be good!'

On a quick note, i did feel some comments were racially borderline in the thread ( i would say are they 10 or what? but sadly they probably are!). Each to their own I suppose but personally i love women of every race (except the Irish) and love to see a bit of diversity (damn it Denise why are you so cute!) i mean no matter what colour our skin, surely we can agree being a perv is universal

Chapter 3 and below rating: 4.5 stars

This was my number 1 favorite game back in the end of 2019 when I discovered it, until sometime in 2020 when the next update happened.

For me, the game peaked when . After that scene all the tension began evaporating. Prior to that scene the story felt taboo and the dark music fit really well with the events in story.

In the early stages of the game while all the pieces of story were being put together, the erotic scenes were restrictive which was great for building up desire. But now after the story has progressed with the mysteries of the past uncovered and the main characters pretty much bonded, the sex scenes are still restrictive: handjobs, subtle blowjob, and no penetration. Which to me causes the story to feel dragged out. Once you're getting a handjob, the relationship is now a sexual one. So sex is next logical step. It should be on all characters minds.

This all reminds me of another game which Denise . So clearly the dev is taking inspiration from it.

In all honesty, the story should have been approaching a close after the bar scene, and the characters should now be fucking each others brains out. Honestly, what compelling story is left to tell at this point?

Probably one of the top 5 games on the site currently. The story is ticking along at a good rate and there is enough sexual content per chapter to keep most perv's happy.

The renders are top notch and I personally like the more realistic Models used for the characters, especially the models for the "Wards". This is one of the few threads I check daily to see how the next update is progressing.

Chapter 6 Update

Another great update, downloaded a few games to play same day and Light Of My Life game hogged all my attention so I didnt get to the rest. With some other games I find myself skipping the dialog as its shit, but Naughtyroad's dialog adds to the eroticism of the picture/scene. 10/10
