The reason that you received that answer is because that's the answer. Naughty Road, the developer, publishes routine progress updates (which you can easily find in this thread) but almost never states precisely when he's going to release the next version.

Not to be facetious, but someone who actually understands Bernstein's polynomial should be intelligent enough to understand that doing a drive-by question in a thread with close to 11,000 replies without even making an effort to either (1) search the thread or (2) browse the last couple of pages ... is just basically opening yourself up to a sarcastic reply. Just two posts above yours is a reply with the big "PROGRESS 28.9.2022" in quotes and that progress post is just on the previous page, if you had bothered to "take some time" before posting ...

Besides, Naughtyroad's answer (if he had answered) would have probably been "It will be ready 30 days later now because you asked!" I mean, that's what i would say anyhow

Intelligence takes many different, and not necessarily inter-related forms. Great mathematic intelligence does not bring about social intelligence.

Coming soon = sooner than you think but not as soon as you might want to.
Soon = kind of soon but not as soon as coming soon.
very soon = in between soon and coming soon but still not soon enough.
immediately = sooner than coming soon, soon and very soon.. But still sooner than you might expect.

sorry if stupid question, but in the progress updates, what does pictogram of mountains and sun mean? and what does it mean when it has two hearts above it? and I'm guessing x-ed out face means a deleted part of a scene? just curious and falling off a nice high, so maybe I'm not thinking straight xD thx for answer in advance!

The number of faces is the estimate of the complexity of the scene. If a face is exed out, it means it was actually less complex than first estimated (faces also get added, at times). The landscape boxes note wallpapers created for subscribers. I might be wrong but if I am remembering correctly, the hearts mean that's the Valentine's Day wallpaper.

don't know if this year release is even realistic if we look at q4 complexity, cause its almost the same as the entire first half which was done in like 4 months, since the updates are big that 1-2 month extra wait is not that huge tho
