Honestly, its totally up to the developer lol. He is not a publicly owned entity so its on his own merit. He doesnt have to meet quarterly quotas, no production deadlines.

I don't expect him to release at midnight tho. Probably when he feels like its okay.

I kinda like this Merit based system of game development.

Remember that NaughtyRoad is in Europe. so Midnight Eastern US Time is 5-7am there. He also has a full-time job and family. Unless he has Friday off from work, you might want to get some sleep tonight. The last two releases were pushed out at about 7-9am Eastern US Time (about noon or early afternoon in Europe) and Chapter 4 was released around 2-3pm Eastern US Time (after dinner in Europe).

I was quite surprised to see this game was still being worked on considering it's been almost a year and a half since it came out last? I could be wrong going by the thread update. All I have to say is good luck to the dev. Guess I will maybe come back to check in another 3 to 4 years if the game is still being made.

You got me wrong. I don't fear Valve would leak it themselves. But there are data breaches all the time and a third party could exploit this. But you should not only fear the private sector. The state can legally access your account information. Lets say society decides that homosexuality is a crime, like it was for a long time and still is in many countries. Police needs to show off some success in fighting crime. So what will the police do: (1) hard police work and hunting real criminals or (2) getting easy access to Valves customer base and hunting homosexuals? I know what I would do.

Of course I am not a public figure, but maybe I am one in 10 years. It is hard to predict your own future.

Hell, at least the meme isn't I'll take "game show history" for $50, Art. I mean, the show is older than most of us on this site - first started in 1964. It's a Boomer. Speaking of Boomers - even Weird Al's parody song and video are older than the Jeopardy most associate with Alex Trebek. The song and the music video came out the spring and summer before Alex first walked across the stage.
