its been a long time since i played this game, good for the dev for continuing working on this for so long. I got a say the disclaimer that its a story game did make me chuckle. ill stick with it for a while but im not big on the heavy stories, i just really like the original models (both in quality and the fact they are unique).

Edit* glad i came back that last chapter was fantastic, type of story i want to see a lot more. not to mention for a story driven game its gets pretty raunchy.
one question, was there any brooke content, i feel like i locked my self out of her path? the last thing i did with her was go on the date that gets interrupted.

If that is the case, you might have accidently skipped the entirety of chapter 6 and gone straight to chapter 7. If you ever used that horrible piece of #### walkthrough mod, it introduced bugs into your save game that some people reported made them skip over chapter 6 completely. Sadly, there's no way to repair that that I know of, starting a new game afresh is your best option there.

First of all, thanks for taking the time to read my comment and, above all, to respond.

This is the only project that has generated interest in me in the last two/three years and I am sorry that I could not do a better critique or analysis of your last chapter. First, because I don't speak English and I probably don't express myself well, and second, because I didn't dedicate the time it deserves.

Obviously, I love your VN because it doesn't look anything like the rest of the projects on the platform and I appreciate your effort to keep it that way.

But I have the feeling that in this chapter the story has advanced more than I expected. maybe because deep down I want it not to end soon. I have to admit that I generally lose some interest when the MC gets intimate with the other characters in the plot. This is completely my fault.


I will try to write a review because above all I understand the work involved in the development of this project and also to try to contribute something.

i didnt, I started from scratch, but maybe i should clarify when i say content i wasnt talking about dialogue, i meant specifically lewd/sex scenes, she still text from her new job.

Oh, right. In that case, your last big moment with her should have been having sex at your desk in chapter 6, not the date, that's from chapter 4 I think.

Well, I understand, what you mean. I agree with you that sisters accepted their fates a bit fast, but I understood it as some kind of explosion. Macy, Denise and MC secretly wanted it so much for the last 6 weeks, that when they opened up to each other, events began to develop rapidly. As for me, it was rather obvious, that all of them will live openly and will have sexual relation, because even in the 1st chapter we see practically broken Denise, who became obsessed with the idea to repeat the Bible Haron's story.

I will never get tired of praising the game))) I love to read in general, so the game really digged my attention. I don't speak about office stuff, because as for me, there were some good and fun porn/nonporn content, but not so soul-catching as family line. I really loved first chapters, so there are drama, hard family relations and I was trully worried about Macy, Denise, MC and their future. During the story we see reasonable character arcs, conflicts resolution and changing relations in family. In the 7th chapter story is going to the end parts and all the characters become happier and happier living as the throuple. Sadly, there is already no place for drama at all, bu I accept it.)) Maybe we'll have a chapter or two more, where Denise will have anal and turn Macy into Daddy's anal slut. And there is a pregnancy theme as well.
As for me, I am really dissapointed of missing the oportunity of having sex with Brooke and weird Sisters during the Family way. I really don't now if there is any of it at all at other ways, because I cannot play without my lovelly girls, cannot betray them, you know..))) BTW I havn't used any mods.

Phew, finally finally finished chapter 7 yesterday and have to say: what a frigging lovely ride. Absolutely love the story and character progression. Thx naughtyroad for this brilliant piece of a game!!!

Mine takes a second, at most (I'm using v0.7.1 that uses Ren'Py 7.6.1 - not the current v0.7.3 that uses Ren'Py 8.0.1). What I notice about Light of My Life's menu screen compared to other Ren'Py games - is that the menu is animated with layers of graphics that move whereas most are static images and it's a gallery of images, not just a single shot. So there's a little processing power going into making that happen.

Now, my computer is new, so your mileage may vary.

The pre 0.7.3 was using one big single displayable to load all main menu background images in in one go, unlocked or not, and that was a multiple dozens of compound displayables with ATL transforms, often in QHD. And it would do it again opening the preferences menu for a load. Getting a one second response there is pretty decent.

New version uses dynamicimages to load only one background displayable at a time (and the next on demand when it comes up in the carousel), and reuses that from cache for the preferences, and should hardly be noticeable anymore on your system, even if a single one of those displayables can still be up to a dozen or more QHD images at once.

As to the previous poster question on why they don't see that in other games, it's exactly like you said, other games rarely do something like that.
