Nope, as far as I understand pickled Python code (which is what a save file is) isn't something any of them really scan for (although I'd love to see conclusive data on that either way).

Bottom line, don't do it. Don't expect your fancy virus scanner to solve it for you (I'm on BD myself, and I wouldn't).

Yes, antivirus does not directly scan Python code; however, when it tries to execute the payload, behavior analysis component should trigger and block the process. This is by any means a perfect countermeasure, and compromisation is always a possibility. especially if the malware is written by anyone other than a script kiddie. What I'm trying to say is that due to the nature of this forum, I'm not sure security is a thing. even if someone completely avoids saves, cheat mods, etc. They can still get infected from hundred other ways. If you want complete peace of mind, pay for stuff, and like a condom, paid antivirus will only reduce your chances of an infection.

Finally, I have great respect for your writing and didn't mean to offend you; just saying, telling people on f95zone to avoid saves while they happily download pirated exes and mods is a bit pointless.

No one is vetting the save files that users post. If users end up getting malware/other issues through save files, they rarely know the reason and the culprit. It can take awhile before there is mitigation and the spread can hindered.

The files for 20,000+ game that uploaders maintain for F95 are run through virus scanners before they are shared, and even when one gets through, once found, there are immediate actions taken to mitigate spread.

Of course nothing is 100% safe. Nothing. It's about reduction of risk. Downloading save files from random users is much higher risk than downloading game files and mod files from OP links in game and mod threads.

So, yes, there is a point. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it pointless.

Antivirus is for noobies. I use a firewall called TinyWall that blocks everything. A virus needs to communicate with an external site/host to properly work. My PC must have thousands of viruses, but they are imprisoned by a firewall. Windows firewall is terrible by the way.

Finally got around to playing chapter 8. Loved it, was slightly concerned with a lack of our lovely Coven. Thought that maybe Naughty was introducing a new trio to replace them 7/10. , but then our Ladies and Saviors, Zarah and Sierra showed up, 11/10.

That scene from what i remember is only from front. It shows nothing. I like the game but i prefer a single render rather than 10k words.
Also i understand your claim and its your game but i will keep on thinking a solo Denise first scene would fit better for the story and their relationship.

BTW, did you disable Microsoft Defender Antivirus? (A task not very easy any more to accomplish when you have no other AV installed as a replacement) It still counts as one, although you didn't pay for it separately. Otherwise you have no reason to boast here as someone who doesn't have an AV protecting his Windows OS.

Nope. Some shorter chapters to deliver on some promises the game made, and in between I'll be spending some time working on the next thing (tbd).

Since you said the next thing is TBD; here's an idea for the next thing: basically your style of humor and slice-of-life combined with an 80's action movie with all the one liners, the cheese, the shooting hundreds of rounds without ever reloading from an UZI, the physical humor, cartoon-logic physics, that kind of over-the-top stuff.

Put into that your wholesomeness, that emotional and sincere style of yours and this would be great! I mean your talent for slice-of life is great, and that would be nice to offset the unserious, bombastic, MAYBE violent (that part could be kept PG) action-packed part of the story and I'd say you'll get something rather unique when it comes to erotic games. Could be really fun to write!

For the main I think the hero could be this generic badass elite super-soldier (at first glance) who has to confront two battlefields (maybe three if we count the psyche), one with the generic bad-guy-terrorist-mobster-whatever-side and one with quirky and at first annoying ladies who become lovable as we get to know them.

The male lead could take many routes, but my idea would be that at the start the dude is traumatized to the point of complete nihilism and just goes with everything and when things get bad, he just laughs because he's been through hell already. This "go with the flow" attitude could be REALLY good when it comes to getting into trouble with both enemies as well as the ladies.

I'd say you have the writing chops for something like this! I do love your humor for sure! Another thing I haven't seen yet among erotic games are actually good sci-fi stories, most are just rehashing one another, there you can go absolutely wild, however that would mean a lot of unique assets to render, not just the characters and their assets, which would be that much more brutal on you.

Anyway, these are my ideas, I hope if nothing else, I at least aided a bit in the thinking process!
