Are saves compatible between versions? Downloaded this just two days ago and it got an update. I'm not sure whether or not to be annoyed.

EDIT: So as to make this post less useless, how do I give people fetishes, or will I find out in due course?
The saves should be compatible. I've never had any difficulties between versions. *knocks wood*

There are a couple of ways to give people fetishes. There's an item that will add or remove a random fetish when used, it can also be enchanted to add or remove specific fetishes. Though my favourite way is to enchant clothing items with specific fetishes so I can create custom slaves for specific jobs.

Java is if you already have java installed on your system, the exe release comes bundled with java if you don't. If you have no idea what java is or if you have it just grab the exe.
I would find it exactly 100% impossible to find a single person that does not know what Java is....

But anyway, thanks for explaining.

After you defeat someone you can give them clothing or potions that give kinks.

Is it possible to give people hatred of certain fetishes? Because that's one of my fetishes :FeelsGoodMan:
Thanks for the info, I assume you can apply them to Lilaya to get rid of that nasty pregnancy hatred right?

The game never tells you this, but I noticed if you pump their like of something without just adding the fetish, you can raise the level of like for a fetish. A person who only dislikes something can be raised to indifference, and a hate can turn into a simple dislike.

If you want them to flat out hate something, do a major drain on a fetish.

Sadly Major NPCs like Lilaya won't let you change their clothing or give them items at the moment. Or at least I've never been able to accomplish it. In one run-through I accidentally got Nyan addicted to my sperm, and couldn't give her the Angel's Tears to cure it.

Okay so I'm having an issue. I went over to the auctioning blocks at the slaver's alley to import a character into the game, but once I do, it tells me there are no upcoming auctions. How can I actually get this imported character as a slave then?

And none of the slave shops have any slaves for sale at all. Is my save just an alternate universe where slaving was outlawed or something?

True.
At first, I didn't understand this mechanic, as I didn't see the point of buying a "like" for 4 points, when you could have "love" for 5 and get a skill.

But the difference shows in the opposite.
If you want a NPC to avoid using certain sex option, buying the "hate" removes completely the taste for it... which means it can use it. It's better to set it to a minor drain on potion crafting, so it will have a "dislike" for the fetish and it won't use it on sex scenes.
For example:
Scarlett has the "give anal" fetish. If you want her NOT to use it, you could craft a potion to "major drain". This removes her fetish. But it gets removed from her list of fetishes, meaning that the option is still there and she might use it.
To have her completely avoid the anal action, is better to set it to minor drain, one step before removing it, so it gets tagged by the system to avoid it.

I haven't played for a while (was waiting for a meaningful update), and last night I tried the latest build.

Yes, slave stores seem empty. I thought maybe you need a couple days to pass, but suppossedly Alexa now sells only 3 slaves and she's got a lot of them, and if you can import slaves, then it's probably a bug

Both of these posts are kind of confusing to me tbh. But if I'm understanding the latter of the latter correctly, that sounds like a bug.

Slave stores are actually more spread out now. It's taken to the FC approach, now there are stores for fetishes and even gender preference.

No no, not a bug. I wasn't clear enough, you're right.

There are 5 stages of likeness, AND the fetish itself:
hate-dislike-neutral-like-love, and the fetish itself apart (which gives a special attack, unlike the 5 stages)

You can buy any stage, and let it grow with experience, or simply buy the fetish at once (which itself grows with xp too. I think it raises the lust gain in sex scenes the more levels it has).

Crafting also has stages:
major drain-minor drain, and minor boost-major boost.

So, with the example of Scarlett:
she has the "give anal" fetish (colored red, as she likes to give, not receive).
When crafting a kink potion, if you set the likeness for anal to "major drain", it will completely remove the full fetish.
this means she's actually set to "neutral" since she doesn't has any stage, and the chance of her using it still it's in play.
So it's better to set it to "minor drain", so it's tagged as "dislike" or "hate". She'll lose the full fetish itself, and gets tagged by the system, so it wouldn't use the action.

Or the other way around:
she has the anal fetish, but she still has the chance to go for vag or oral.
So, you craft an item to have the "dislike/hate vag" if you want her to do only butts.

Note:
the system seems to take more into account the dislike than the likes or fetishes.
For example, right now, if you want the NPCs go for your butt, you won't make it, no matter how much you beg or if they have the fetish. They'll always go for vag if possible first.
If you're playing a futanari or a female, NPCs will always go vag, despite having the anal fetish... unless they have the "hate vag" stage.
If you have a penis, the NPCs will always go for it first, unless they have "hate dick" stage.

Ok, I think I follow. If it were at "like", would you need to use "minor drain" three times to reach hate?
Also, I thought that buying the fetish itself (I only have experience with my own character so far) was just perma locking in "love" and granting an ability. So while I understand your example with regards to wanting to make a character dislike something, why would I ever choose to give a "minor boost" and increase the stage instead of outright granting the fetish?

EDIT: If the character actually has the fetish, does "minor drain" remove it as well as reducing its stage? Or do I need to use both major and minor drain to achieve that.

It's kinda hard to exact pinpoint the amount.
The safest bet is to use "minor drain", which it's always 1 stage to add or remove.
To completely remove (basically setting to neutral) it's easier to use major drain (it will tell you if it does), but for detailed crafting, it's better and more precise to use the "minor" options.

You can always type "buggy" and recover any wasted resource (I don't bother anymore in doing endless battles just for some points) and keep playing normally, or just cheat the heck off it, and get the game you want :p

So while I understand your example with regards to wanting to make a character dislike something, why would I ever choose to give a "minor boost" and increase the stage instead of outright granting the fetish?
Precisely my point! ;)
At first I thought the same exactly.
But it's when crafting, and thinking about how the AI handles NPCs that comes into matter.
For our character player, there's no real difference, since you won't do something you don't like, it's better to just buy the fetish and get the skill associated. But I think the system it's meant to run the NPCs behaviours, and to give you some control over them (when crafting).

EDIT: If the character actually has the fetish, does "minor drain" remove it as well as reducing its stage? Or do I need to use both major and minor drain to achieve that.
Hum, not entirely sure.
Teorically, you could combine minor and major, yeah.
Couldn't say how it really works in-game, since I usually just remove and add fetishes and build my NPCs completely.
I just lately started to pay attention to these minor details, because I wanted certain NPCs to behave in certain specific ways.

Remember:
type "buggy" anywhere. No need for a text box, or anything, just write it in.
You'll get 99% of the content there, available as a debug menu.

Use it to blatantly cheat, or to try anything you want to learn, it's much easier that way.

I think your save is bugged. I've been through all the stores in the updated slaver's alley and they each had three slaves for sale, and I could import and bid at the auction block.
