can someone give me a context regarding the drama on this game/developer, is it just missing the update schedule or there's more to it.

Game has been functionally in Dev hell for ~3 years.
Coincidently ~3 years ago the Dev proudly announced this game was now profitable enough to be her full time job so quit her other job.
Dev was always weeks late on updates, but ~3 years ago that became months.
Then Dev stopped talking to anyone outside her carefully curated Discord echo chamber.
Then Dev started padding her already anemic updates with fanmods.
All the while claiming stress, negativity, mental health months, fancy vacations, writers block, and code revisions.
Currently her contributions to the updates are ~5 hours of code, ~5 hours of writing.
And has been for years.

Also doesn't help when she goes on month long gaming binges and brags about it in her Discord.

The games progress is currently 1 of 7 chapters and 1st chapter was finished about 5 years ago.


TLDR: She learned she can milk the paypigs.
TLDR: Why is this thread so negative? She bans anyone who negatively comments. This is where they end up. Fluff her ego or get banished to the Shadowrealm.

From what I've seen on the changelog, it seems that most of the update consist of just bug fixes, gameplay changes and mod(?) stuff.

In terms of playtime, how short/long is it to explore all the game has to offer? I don't have any knowledge of the game and I just discover this from another thread.

I got bored and started a new game recently, it took me ~10hrs to complete the main story, side missions, and explore the world map. You could probably tack on another hour if you decide to complete the romance quests; I skip them because the romance options don't appeal to me.

The thing is, from the customer's perspective, it shouldn't matter if she is genuinely disappointed in herself or not.

It definitely does. If someone can't deliver on a deal out of incompetence, they most likely are in a rough spot as well. If it's with malicious intent, they're slurping a cocktail while lying on a hammock somewhere in the Bahamas as they ensure you it's being worked on. It's the difference between being pitiful and punchable.

You can't just reduce Lilith's Throne to the main story, the sandbox mode is imho also a huge draw of the game. I think a small part of the discontent with Inno comes from the mismatch between expectations. I'm coming back to the game like once every 6 months or so, and try a new playthrough just for the sandbox. One time I collected all the flying morphs (harpies, bats, owls, pegasi, etc.). I would really love for Inno to expand the sandbox more. I'm happy every time the mansion gets more content. The spa was good, dining rooms were good, etc. Of course, mansion upgrades are about as rare as main story updates, and mostly have as little content as main story updates as well.

But I do like my text-based Sims slavery simulator, and I wouldn't be unhappy at all if Inno were to announce that there will be no further story updates, and that she will focus fully on the simulation side.

The sandbox is fun and all, but a lot of the updates don't even expand much on it, and when they do it's usually not what I'd even consider meaningful content. Things like a few new clothing bits made by the community or another race that's functionally exactly the same as most other races... that's not really adding much to make most people wanna play more.

The slaves are in need of a lot of love to actually be any fun outside of roleplaying, which I honestly don't care for roleplaying with a game over another person... given it's just me roleplaying with myself at that point. They need more personality, the jobs need to feel like they have distinct differences, otherwise they're just flavor.

Combat, as many have said for ages at this point, also needs to be completely reworked if it's to be any fun at all beyond the opening few hours of a first time player. It's so easy to break, and even when not trying to break it, it's just too easy and simplistic.



I think I agree with you about ditching the story to focus on the sandbox/slave sim side of things, as I'm not invested all that much in the story to begin with, and only come back for the sandbox side of things too.

The sandbox is probably the biggest seller of the game to me, however i reckon there needs to be a balance - of development - between all of the parts that make the whole. Sandbox is really fun, but even in a perfect state, would need some backbone - ie story - to keep the game some what fresh and to prevent my brain turning into mush with all of the details of the computer generated side.

The story doesnt even need to be good, like it is a porn game after all, but something to either guide the player along and experience the arguably the best parts of the game - in my opinion, the sandbox and the world building. So it really brain fucks me with Innoxia says some shit about the new boss in development is too "boring" or smth like that im too lazy to read the blog shit again. I dont want her serving a weekly portion of slop content or anything, but from her blogs it really seems like she is taking way too much care into the story. This is despite pretty much butchering it after talking to Demon Aunts mommy it that fucking massive lore dump.

I really wish she focused on the little shit, like more stuff like the taverns in Elis, and stuff like the farmers market.

I get that there are friendlies my apologies for semi-friendly fire, but there are some people that will continue to defend the bullshit or even question anyone who seen past the the thin veil of reality. Like the one you were calling out, and like one of the posts after your's. What my post could've benefitted from saying is that it's not a big surprise that bootlickers will come to the thread and try to justify the attitude and work ethic of a certified liars and scam artists.

You see them in every generation of pirates here, even on ULMF, the thread for Malise and the Machine was filled with the same exact posts, people shitting on the devs (deservedly in cases like Eromancer.) and on the paypigs who haven't seen the reality, and then those same people trying to justify (by telling everyone that they have less than room temperature IQ because they support this sort of thing)

Yeah, I should have figured. I just got confused because of who you were quoting, so that is on me.

Ultimately, I just want Inno to pull the lead out and to some small degree prove us wrong.

On the negativity front as a long time lurker; this is f95zone, it's a not huge beacon of positivity in general.

And like mentioned before in this thread, since places like the official blog and discord generally shun negative criticism towards the game, a lot of people came here to complain and damn sometimes it's fun to complain. (sorry mods who come in here having to cull the thread down every so often, you're doing a great job.)

No, this isn't new to me in the slightest. personally, if I'm subbed to someone and they don't give content I end my sub, but sadly some people sink their heels in on some sunk-cost fallacy. I was just saying that she is even worse than someone else said, who was responding to one of those "stupid fuckers who will defend this abhorent ideal". I was just expounding on the context and indirectly saying that I'll respect her as a person when she respects the people paying her. As I said, the problem isn't that she's not giving content, its that she's not giving content despite still being paid.

MC has to take out each of Lilith's daughters in order to become powerful enough to defeat Lilith herself and conquer or liberate the land.

My original reason for even joining this site was to find out what the hell was stopping Inno from just fucking making her fucking game already.
