You can either do essentially nothing and get paid or actually do work and get paid. Guess which is more interesting?
Inno kinda reminds be of the people from the overemployed community. Those are guys who get as many remote jobs as possible and do absolute minimum in each of them (maybe making some effort in their favorite one), collecting multiple paychecks in the process. The OE community exchanges tips about what excuses to use, how to attend multiple meetings at the same time, how to hire Indians to offshore your job, and how to recognize when you're about to get fired for underperforming.
So my guess is that Inno got a full-time job and that job brings in as much dough as LT or more. LT is the second, less important job, and because the fanbase is naive, excuses—the cheapest overemployment technique—are working.

i see that everyone is posting memes on inno, Im curious what everyone would do if inno really left, like how the coder for Pytfall poofed and never came back. What would you guys do if Lilith's throne was truly abandoned. Im not being snarky or anything like that, im too tired for snark and legit wanna ask what would everyone do
Same as always: nothing.

Got to look at sourcecode and i'm stunned: the code is a creepy crap!
So i've forked it to make it somehow better.

Please take a look: and . Here I've slightly reorganized code and resources, though I've failed to get and married, so no luck getting rid of files unpacked. But now they are in user home directory, not exe location. The next step will be mods loading (hope soon)

Try to look at this one.

So....Inno made a blog post. This game isn't actually abandoned
Six months no updates. I think author has stuck with the mess of code. So much code and so much dupes, totally got raped. Plus it's fragile - even rearranging code breaks the game. And totally slow, as JS been constantly parsing (by ).

I'll try to make it better if I can and not eventually get bored.

... so I think about plans on that fork: I've already renamed it to "Lilith's Legacy" to distinguish with the original. As I'd get it fully working (mods either), I heavily plan to translate source code from Java to Kotlin and use all power this language sells. Maybe I'll throw away JavaFX (Swing may look nice too, don't we need it) and JS (mods could use Kotlin too) and... Even story plot (leaving just the engine) but not so sure, as you all may like original story. Will try to stay updated with the Innoxia's updates. Hope Inno could borrow some successful steps from this fork.
The code makes me angry, but the game is lovely, and character customization is great - so it's worth to continue.

*swears* What have i said about fragile code? It just stopped working (Can't start a new game). Saying that Nashorn can't call getter function, although it is there. And i've changed no code so far. Good luck debugging for me.
Yeah. With how much of a spaghetti factory explosion-tier disaster the code to this game is, I don't think it's any wonder that anyone and everyone knows you'd need to rebuild it from the base up instead of trying to work with it if you wanted to improve it. It's the equivalent of deleting coconut.jpg, but actually real.

I don't think i'm exaggerating when i say the moment someone managed to create a new competition and probably show a more competent level of coding and promising future, everyone would literally jump off this sinking ship in a heart beat

With the state of the code, it needs more than just a little bit of polishing, it needs a full rework.
If the game version is reflective of the point in the main story, it is almost halfway through and at the rate Inno is going, would need at least another decade to finish.
That said, the chances this game is going to be truly abandoned before Inno dies (or miracuously finishes it) are slim, with how profitable it is.

I suppose I can't rule that out, but if I got paid twice the average salary for doing almost nothing, I would not bother with a full-time job on top of that.

You might be underestimating the zeaoltry of her fanbase.

Your reward for this will be Inno taking your work and releasing it as her update. You'll get credit, but she will own it.

There is no legal way for anyone to "take over" development of this game. I strongly advise you to work on a similar project of your own rather than attempting to "fix" or continue this one. This game is tagged "abandoned" here, due to Inno's failure to do actual work on it. Inno has not said that she has abandoned it; even if she did, she'd still own the IP.

Think most the problem is that Inno coded it in Java. Javas a good language for a lot of stuff but you really need to know the language front to back if you want to do a complex project with it, and it needs to planned from the start.

This happens all the time, you find a game you like, you forget about it for 2 or 3 years and when you play it again the game is basically the same + a few things added along the way so the author can keep milking idiots on patreon.
