I don't think Inno likes writing at all. Removal of companions and their evident disdain for "bad ends" given how rare they are and how long it took them to implement them in the first place speak to that. The reason this game and and say Degrees of Lewdity do so well, is that you get a porn game that has a sex feedback loop, but then you get the entire "immerse yourself with character creation" aspect to make it better.
DoL kind of has the customisation in a headlock because you have scenes and even a character you can witness in your outfit while LT feels more like a hinderance for gameplay (I go commando to save the annoying clicking) and flavour-text outside of it.
LT should have really doubled down on the visuals and customisation. It has a slaves system, it has a colouring system, Inno clearly loves writing and making TONS of variants.
Not sure on SVGs and what they can do, but having base models with modular parts could have made something on-par with DoL's characters and scene stuff, then have some form of stats tracker with slaves and/or partners, apply the same mechanic for them, and it's already doubling down on its market advantage. Not sure how much work it would be for sex scenes with it but that would help since the game has a LOT of options and given the AI tries to do stuff while you set up some sexual-twister situation, it's hard to mentally keep track (trying to get a blowie not realising they are wearing a mask is a classic).
Instead it's a town with the same stuff that's massively out the way, and an upgrade-able shop that I'm not sure does anything substantial
A game like TiTS or CoC, which this game clearly took some inspiration from (no shade, those two are huge for a good reason) you have elaborately written sex scenes between every sexable character. Every enemy and many of the random NPCs have multiple sex scenes: victory, defeat, oral, anal, vaginal, male, female, and all of them come with paragraphs upon paragraphs of smut.
Inno, meanwhile, only has the same repetitive sex "minigame" that makes everything take so much longer than it needs to. Even characters that have very clear fetishes associated with them (like the one centaur lady who really likes anilingus) don't feel unique, because all it really comes down to is spam-clicking the button marked "kiss ass" instead of "suck dick" or whatever, and getting a one-line description of the act. It's about as sexually engaging as doing your taxes: smut by bureaucracy
DoL has something similar, but A) DoL at least has visuals to go along with what's happening and B) DoL treats sex as an extension of combat. Half the time in DoL, sex is the negative consequence to a fight gone wrong. The other half of the time, it's something you want to rush through to get paid.
Even so, the sex scenes of DoL also aren't very erotic and it can become tempting to skip through them once your skills are high enough - but at least in DoL's defence, that kind of fits the theme. You're supposed to be the victim of unwanted attention, doing things you don't like. You're not blowing that guy because you were so charmed by his pickup lines, you're doing it because you're either trying to regain some kind of control of your life, or your trying to make enough money before the end of the week to prevent Bailey from selling you into sex slavery. As the initial horror of the attacks or whoring yourself out fades away, they become monotonous and routine.
DoL is less of a smutty adventure game like TiTS or Lilith's Throne, and far more of a psychological horror with sexual themes.
