So you don't plan to have NPC's with say detailed slavery paths, or people that have kinky missions, or anything non-sandbox? Because one of the bigger
criticism of say this game, Lilith's Thrones, is that it doesn't have enough non-generic content too it.
I'd like to, but not a priority. One of my inspirations is Slave Matrix - a dinky little game with hardly a story or characters, but it left its small fanbase wanting more. (I don't really like slave stuff, though I do enjoy a slave -> head butler/maid story, or slave -> wife story, so we'll see). My strength is in mechanics if anything, and my experiment will be to see if I can throw a bunch of uncommon mechanics (e.g. backstory, which is usually a "story" thing and not a "mechanic" thing) and see if it makes generated NPCs interesting enough.
Hah, definitely not the intended effect.
The personality art is just abstract psychedelic trippy depictions, though I get how it makes you feel a little uncanny.
Rest assured, the game will balance wholesome and traumatic elements. The intro is already done and IMHO it's pretty humorous. I'd show you guys all my progress so far so you see for yourself but it doesn't even belong here yet because the lewd elements aren't done.
You better hurry up. I'm tempted by personality stuff as well. But coming soon:
You must be registered to see the links
- the link goes to "You won't believe how ChatGPT AI changed Skyrim forever!" My bet is that the toil we put into personality systems will soon be overtaken. Not to say that text-based or 2D will go away - those should stick around for reasons I'll leave for another time. But I think in the near-term or mid-term, lovingly-crafted personality logic might not be able to compete.
Apologies if slightly off-topic... but I do know the context here, and I did quietly nod with approval when the model-train discussion was happening
.
I'm happy to be fully on-topic when updates are regular and main story is advancing.
