It's off by default, always has been. I recommend turning it on, but honestly it doesn't make a difference.
If you are using the 32bit version you can never let it use more than 4GB ever, in some situations 2GB is the limit, you can give it more memory by launching the .jar with arguments,
java -Xms1G -Xmx4G -jar "./Lilith's Throne.jar" -Xmx is max memory, followed by any numbers as m for megabytes, g for gigabytes, k for kilobytes.Are you talking about enchanting? I stand corrected. I went through the options ages ago and set everything up to my preference and then I haven't bothered with the options menus since.
In your defence, I was in the same boat. I thought the setting was on by default, because I always leave it that way.
I could be wrong, but last I checked the game only kept track of your direct off spring, so unless your the mother it's not tracking that. It might now also track those you knocked up as your off spring, but it didn't used to.
Wendsday bat caves where you went to deal with the slimes, it'll tell you if you're too early or late.
Check your in-game phone for your quests. If you need help beyond that, let us know what quest you're stuck on. And if you don't care about cheating, you can type "buggy" (without the quotes) at any time to bring up the cheat menu.
