Hello everyone! After forgetting about it for a long time, I just returned to playing LT. I started a new game yesterday, played a little bit, then turned it off. This morning I opened up the game, the exe. version and my save file and auto saves are gone. Is there any way I can keep my saved progress so whenever I turn off my game and return to it later I don't have to restart every time?
This sounds like the game isn't able to write a data folder. Make sure the game files are in a location where it's allowed to write, e.g. not in Program Files (x86).

Feels 100% necessary when you've doomed the population of Dominion to be forced out of their own city by the 100s of children you've had from stacking Broodmother pills, breeder pills, rabbit offspring bonus plus all of the perks and enchantments.
That's actually the goal in the lore, which is why kids immediately age up to 18 when they're born. Lilith is trying to flood the world with refugees from Dominion to create instability. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I guess they had to come up with some reason for why your kids are always full-grown adults.

Gameplay-wise, however, it's so easy to prevent that I don't understand how people are having this issue. I don't have a bajillion kids unless I'm trying to.

So it's been a while since I played this game. Has the main quest had much new content in the last year or two? Which side characters have the most content as well?

That's the thing, I'm pretty sure most of the people complaining about their legion of offspring are trying to have as many as they can, but only because they like breeding. The idea of having all of those offspring is what they like, not the horrible lag you get when the game starts trying to process their ten million kids turn update.

Ah, okay. Makes sense.

So, voluntary NTR works but Involuntary NTR doesn't seem to, I'm messing around with the options to get it to trigger after losing an encounter but no dice, are there certain settings besides Involuntary NTR that need to be checked on/off?

btw I'm aware the companion system is on hiatus so if it straight up doesn't work that's fine, just need confirmation.

Thanks for responding! What location would you recommend? besides my desktop?

You dont even need that, becoming a Slime also allows for Transformation and increasing cum storage and output

I figured it out. You need to enchant Penis wetness. Stacking enchantments can raise it faster. Went from like 5 oz to 68 oz so far, with the tool tip max saying it is 352 oz. Couple this with Penis regen and BOOM. Now we are a fire hose!

No transformations required.

When it first released it was pretty novel for having an actual GUI and was just generally well-designed compared to the competition at the time, it also actually had a pretty steady development pace for a while. The game's basically just been coasting on good will since then.
Not to be demanding, but what do you mean by well-designed? Is it that LT has reusable gameplay mechanics, instead of using ad-hoc scripting or just writing with no actual gameplay effects?

I feel alone in this but I really think you need more minimalistic writing for a game. Like the minute you start putting thoughts and feelings in my character's head that don't line up with mine the disconnect just starts growing and growing until it all crumbles to nonsense.
You are definitely not alone. The writing doesn't value brevity and often takes long detours to explain things unnecessarily. In some cases like you say, it tries to justify not letting you do unwanted things by telling you how you think and feel.

The sex engine was a big appeal as people had issues with games like CoC where there were only a few set sex scenes for each encounter that often took control from the player.
You're right, the sex system is a major factor other games lack. I wish there was more effort in refining the sex system; I don't think it scales well to group sex, and I wish there was a middle ground between quick sex and having to work out 2+ orgasms to placate some partners.

The sex engine is the strongest part of the game. The rest of the game really needs someone competent in replayable game mechanics to go over it, rebalance it all, and provide a balanced incentive for the player to pursue income sources (a rising cost that the player needs to meet like rent/tax/something/debt/whatever) giving the player a motivation for actions.

Right now a lot of what you do is just left to players to make up their own motivations for which is fine as a sort of sandbox experience but is a weak game experience overall lacking challenge or entertainment value.

Then it also needs more threats and more possibilities for things to go wrong, as well as a combat and item rebalance and complete item loot balancing.

Lilith has always had a tonne of potential because of how good the system itself is but is going to be perpetually unfinished in basically all other areas.
Rebalancing is mostly hypothetical, because it's unlikely LT will be reformed. The dev probably won't do it, and other people don't have the legal rights. My hope is that a new game will be informed by this discussion.

With that said, I'm not sure a game like this strictly needs to have expenses. Many RPGs just assume the player will eventually get infinite money and accordingly not make money especially useful by itself. It's hard to balance a free market economy, because you can spend money on anything and that means both income and expenses have to be tightly controlled. Slavery makes it harder, because fetishists love it and probably want it to be powerful and lack risks or downsides, while other people strongly want to avoid using it. Slavery is also passive income, so to balance it there need to be meaningful consequences for letting time pass, which you possibly do not otherwise need to come up with.

If you don't spend time trying to tighten all the screws on the money economy, you can spend that time making combat actually fun, or adding other engaging content. And then to the extent necessary, you take rewards away from the money economy and add them to this new content.

In LT specifically, money is too powerful because the mall, slave market, and custom enchantment system combine to give you almost everything, and various pretty obvious money exploits exist to get full access to everything on offer easily.

That's the thing, I'm pretty sure most of the people complaining about their legion of offspring are trying to have as many as they can, but only because they like breeding. The idea of having all of those offspring is what they like, not the horrible lag you get when the game starts trying to process their ten million kids turn update.
This should be fixable by updating people less often if the player can't observe changes in their state. In some cases, you can possibly get away with not updating them at all until they're observed, and then doing all the updates at once.

In a different game, a good way to get rid of excess adult children in a pre-modern economy would be to send them off to seek their fortunes in a distant city. Except that in LT, you live in that city. Oops!
