That's part of it.
I modified the engine a bit at least half a decade ago, and it's not exactly an engine i want to waste my time improving given the anti contribution nature of the license which states all changes belong to Innoxia. There's also just the nature of the massive tech debt you have ignoring the license and other bad programming practice (yes this is also tech debt). I think others on this forum have already solved this in their forks, but to compile the code you must have a specific version of Java which has a specific bug related to interfaces (Why?) but ignoring that you'll still need the java version for specific web based packages that was deprecated from newer java versions but allows HTML, CSS & Javascript (so your entire UI)
I got my own projects, which interest me. A programmer like me would like to work on that. I can provide ways for both programmers, and writers to help contribute once i'm ready to share my stuff with the world. If i make a good foundation, others can take what i built, and remix it, extend it, and do something completely different. The community can't do much of that with LT since so much needs to be fixed first.
