Nah, there won't be any more support. But then Inno will tweak and change something in _old_ code and companions will bug out due to not very good code structure and either Inno will spend lots of time for companion support anyway or will indeed drop companions completely.

And since companions will have been an orphaned optional feature off by default for some time, removing them completely is going to be a lot more palatable to people than doing so now. That's why they default to off, so players get used to playing the game without them and don't miss them as much when they do go away completely.

Yeah, using templates Inno specifically refactored to make modding 20x easier. There's a reason why we haven't seen new races, NPCs, or quests made by the community. Modding without those templates is just an absolute pain in the butt, meaning only the most knowledgeable and patient coders can tackle it. And, like you said, not many are inclined to do it without some kind of compensation. 99% of the mods available are related to frameworks that have already been released - clothing/accessories, weapons, tattoos and, more recently, item sets and status effects.

Honestly, I never expected big mods. Once again, it's a porn game and modding it has no payoff other than the self satisfactory effect, which the game provides well enough already in my opinion. Not only people don't want to take the time to overhaul the game or add new systems, it probably doesn't need it.

Time and time again I've seen people refer to the game's code as "spaghetti". Whatever Inno's methods are, they seem to be messy. So when she says companions had to go because it was becoming a major pain, I believe her. I only wish she had gotten rid of them completely rather than leaving loose ends. Those have a tendency to crop up later and bite you in the ass. How's her coding skills compared to others'? Honestly, I don't know. It's her first game and she been 4 years at it.

However, I still think Inno knows her game better than everyone here - including its flaws and mistakes and why certain things are the way they are. A lot of people have given her suggestions and ideas over the years on what to change and what to improve. She's a bit stubborn in her ways. So if you want something done, you're better off doing it yourself. If you can.

I do agree she knows her work and herself better than anyone. if she doesn't want to do something or does, whatewer her reasons mean to me or anyone here, don't matter. She'll do it as she wants. beyond that, I don't think the code is a mess. it could be better organized, sure, but it is her first game AFAIK, and it very much is easier to critisize than to make better, but those never were my intentions (not to critisize nor to rewrite). Besides, a programmer's code is like their signature. The problems arise only if one can't understand their own code is structured -which I doubt is the case with her- or if one is working in a team.

Her work ethic(pacing? might not be the right word) is a different issue, but I'll leave that discussion to the supporters and people who have a firm opinion on what this game should be.

Yes, the good side with Patreon banning Inno's content is that she stopped doing the feature creep polls

I can think of only one reason to do that, and that's to prepare for their eventual complete removal.

For now she just disabled them, I don't know if she plans to remove them completely. She didn't want to remove them completely from the start because of all the work that's been put into them, but she disabled them by default so new players don't think it's a bug when they no longer have an option to send their lv500 futa god chimera on a poor random NPC later in the game, and so people get used to playing without them (as she'll balance the game without taking them into account now) but still leaving the possibility to take them with you for fights.

As anyone who has bothered to read the development roadmap knows, development is not expected to cease upon completion of v1.0. While v1.0 will be a complete erotic RPG, it will also be a framework to which additional content and features can be added almost indefinitely. HTiH is a good example of this kind of development model, where there is a completed game with a "canon ending", but new content is still being added and the devs are still being supported.

Your accusation that Inno is not moving faster towards v1.0 because 1.0 is when she stops getting paid is utterly ridiculous to anyone who is even slightly informed about this game's development.

As ObligatoryAccount points out above, the content you characterise as being things "nobody wants" is content that her financial backers explicitly voted for. Now, I personally think it was a mistake to give them that opportunity. That the goal should be to forge ahead with the main story. I also think (based on the opinions of people with more expertise in coding than myself) that Inno's clearly made multiple rods for her own back through simple inexperience with game design in general and Java in particular. She may be able to straighten out the spaghetti that is LT's code as she goes (which I think she's hoping to do) or she may end up porting the finished game content over to a new engine (my bet).

Regardless, Inno's inexperience with game development is more than sufficient to explain the game's troubles without resorting to accusations of fraud.

Yes, that's what I said. They're off by default to get people used to playing without them. As Sewyoba said, it's very likely that eventually an update is going to cause problems with them, at which point Inno will be able to say "there's no point putting work into fixing an optional legacy feature, so I'm removing it completely".

Doing the Slime Queen quest. Am at Lvl 29 and met Max twice. Both times, in one blow, he took out a major chunk of my HPs leading me to defeat. And I DO mean MAJOR percentage of HP lost in one blow.

What have I missed? Everyone has up to 3 attacks per turn, while I am limited to one BTW.

Properly set up your combat moves (one of the phone menus) to solve the AP issue, non-core moves get +1 to AP cost. If you have more than two arms, make sure to bring enough weapons so you can make full use of all-out strike or a matching set of two-handed weapons to offset the loss of crits or go for a caster build. Also, slimes have a ton of natural physical shielding. While it should be trivial to simply blast through it at that level, elemental weapons make it a lot simpler (use the reforging hammer or earth school perk to avoid buying a new one).

Alternatively, it's time for our old friend the OwObservant Trait again, combine it with 65+ in physique for a hilarious story takedown.

Huh? You can make anything a core move in that menu, it's just limited to eight at a time.

Click on the cellphone icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. This will take you to the "Phone Home Screen" which contains a number of options for managing your MC. Click on the "Combat Moves" button an you will be taken to a menu that allows you to set your MC's combat moves. Make sure that the basic strike with both your lead and offhand weapons (don't bother with "All-Out Strike") is set as a core combat move.

In addition, may I refer you to this post where you will find my 17-point plan for "making this game your bitch". There is no reason you shouldn't be lvl 50 for the fight with Max.

Okay, I'm just gonna do this as a list for ease of reading. Since you don't seem to know the terminology, I'll cover it all from the basics

1. Crits, short for critical attacks, are attacks that do more damage than normal. These originated in tabletop role playing games like dungeons and dragons (as far as I know). You may have noticed that when using the same basic attack three times in a turn (punch, slash, crystal strike), the third one has a message saying critical damage?
   
   You might of also noticed that this attack cost only 1 AP, if your character has four arms, this will be 2 AP, and 3 AP for six arms. Since a critical attack requires that you do the attack three times in one turn, you only can apply critical damage with two arms. Any more, and you can only do it once (2 AP/3 spent or 3 AP/3 spent), hence 'loss of crit'
   
   
2. A build, is the type of character you're playing, this also comes from RPGs. In the perk tree in your phone, you will notice three differently colored 'trees'. A 'caster build' will focus on filling out the right most purple tree, which focuses on casting magical spells, hence the name. Visit Vicky to pick more spells for your arcane arsenal.
   
   
3. the other 'main builds', are the seducer and the brawler. The seducer manly focuses on lust attacks (middle pink tree), and benefits from using the special teases granted when picking fetishes. The Brawler focuses on causing damage with weapons (left most red tree), enchanted weapons are your friend here.
   You aren't limited to one path though, by the time you reach level 50, you will be able to fully unlock two trees and pick some perks from the third. You can get really creative with your combat style, mixing and matching along the way to create a custom style that suits your desires.
   
   before you ask, there really isn't a best build in my opinion. Seducers can win against muggers pretty quickly, but are less effective when the opponent isn't attracted to you, or has enough magic that the can withstand 100% lust. Brawlers can one hit KO opponents depending on the difficulty, but can't hurt multiple opponents over multiple turns with one attack like a Caster can. I personally go for a brawler build and get medieval on those asses.
   
   
4. the 'OwObservant' trait is a nickname for the 'Observant trait', which can be found near the top of the physical perk tree. This comes from the peak form of comedy known as "Furry Humor" and to be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand it, the humor is extremely subtle...
   
   
5. similar traits, not sure exactly. If you hover your mouse over each trait, you will be able to see the buffs (good things) and debuffs (bad things) each perk will grant. Observant grants +5 Physique and gender detection, so if you want more bonuses like this, focus on the Physique tree.
   
   
6. There really isn't a manual for this, all of these concepts get passed on by gamer oral tradition (forums, chatrooms, and older siblings). Google/Search engine of choice is a great starting place, and you may be able to find more on the Lilith's Throne wiki, but here is as good a place as any to ask.

This has to be a joke at this point. THAT slows development? But the tail size of some deers, fucking enforcer uniforms (for 2 consecutive updates that's the main focus ffs!) or the oral orifice not stretching enough didn't? God fucking dammit, all the other times I could read the changelog with a certain chuckle and chill, but this is almost infuriatingly stupid.

Don't forget the part where Inno scratched and started over the story mid-development on multiple occasions, sometimes repeatedly, because she didn't like it enough, delaying the release for months and the progression of everything else.

Also her reason for dropping it still applies to encounters with multiple characters, i.e. a bunch of imps, to an even greater degree, so I'm guessing it too will be removed soon to give her more time to fiddle with horn thickness to body size ratio?
