Ren'Py Lisa Total Investigation! [P2 v0.83a] [Dragofinder Studio]

Text speed is already at max. Scene transitions weren't this slow in any other game I've played. My system: CPU: i5-13600K, Mem: 32 GB 3600 MHz, Graphics Card: Nvidia 4070Ti and PNY CS3040 1 TB SSD

I'm taking from this response that skipping transitions and immediate text speed doesn't fix the issue for you. With your hardware specs you shouldn't notice the transition (plus you are skipping them), but as Lucifer said - you might want to check your local computer health then. Most likely it is a bad sector on your SSD (it happens and the onboard controller will skip it, but that does eat up time every time it tries to access it). I am not seeing this issue with my computer (a 6 year old rig), but I run things in sandboxes, keep my boot drive clear, and run games on a NAS instead of an SSD.

Well, there are other unknown factors on your side we may not know. You did provide the hardware spec you have. However, we do not know how full is your drive is. if it nearly full, then you may have some minor issue. Also you may also have number of application running in the background (which tend to use a good chunk of your system's memory). Also your security software may also impacting it, such as if your system running scheduled antivirus scanning that may also impact the performance. If you are running this AVN from USB device (external drive or USB) or from network drive, or cloud drive, such as OneDrive, could also have network performance issue. In this case, it a little difficult to figure out what could be the source of the issue.

In addition, sometime it could be related to how the AVN been developed. if it heavy renders, it may take time to load and process even if it animated as well.

I don't think there's a problem with my system. If there were, I'd have seen this issue in other games I play. I've never had this problem in any of the adult games I've played. This is the first time this has happened. The SSD in the C drive is only 20% full. Thanks for your answers anyway.

Tbh...I didn't buy or sub on patreon to this game. The big reason is that too many games forcefully prolong the game updates in order to make more money from subscriptions. But I'm happy to hear that the game is almost done. will definitely buy it on Steam 100%. (More cuckold content PLS)

Thanks! Yes, I can understand why other dev keep doing updates for their game. You get attached to your hero (Lisa in my case) and it's a bit strange to make a new game with an other hero (out of the money milking problem that some dev like to abuse ). I'm already working on my next heroine model and thinking about the story to make it easier

The game pretends to have two protagonists, when it's just a "simulator" that turns your girlfriend into a fuck toy. And this dialogue, while understandably meant to corrupt her, is so generic that it feels predictable and overly broad. I don't mind if it's netorare or whatever they want to call it, but I think the narrative is very basic, even for a game of this style. But on the other hand, the base story, apart from turning your girlfriend into a brainless, is more interesting xd

This update add a Performance Mode to the game! It allows you to switch between 1080p and 4K video quality. It turns out that Ren’Py struggles a bit with 4K videos, causing heavy CPU usage. From now on, the game will start automatically in 1080p to ensure smoother performance. If you prefer, you can switch back to 4K anytime in the settings menu.

Does this mean that the game will now include 2 versions of each video: 1080p and 4k?

It does yes. But in the compressed version the 1080p videos amount to like 60 MB was to lazy to remove em or the 4k ones.

Just checked after downloading, and part 1 is indeed included in part 2. You have the option to start from the beginning of it or the end of it.
