Can you name any of these superior qualities? I'm sure you couldn't make the pointless open world section in renpy, but for this type of game, it seems obvious that it's worse in every meaningful way.
You don't need that ridiculous scene replay system, where you have to physically walk around in a room, you have much greater control over the flow of dialogue being able to rewind it with your mouse wheel, this is especially useful since you don't need to bring up the log if you accidentally skip it. This alone is enough of a reason honestly, I don't know how people live without that feature. Being able to open the menu and save at any point is very good too, in this you can get stuck in huge scenes, unable to save and quit. I'm not sure if the dev is the one to blame of the engine, but the dialogue not simply appearing instantly is aggravating, as often when you click again to make it finish appearing, you can accidentally skip it. Overall it just seems very cumbersome and unsuited for what is primarily a visual novel. I don't think the walking around bits are worth it, and honestly the style clashes so badly I don't see the appeal.
