And who said all pirates are cut from the same cloth? Unlike you, I certainly won't project my opinion in mass on this, but my own stance on every thread has been pretty much the same:
- If it isn't shared by the dev, by all means share away at your leisure.
- If it's shared by the dev willingly, wait a bit to let them earn as it's guaranteed assured to land in our hands soon enough.
Do you understand that this has literally no effect on anything other than the local feelings of individuals? Those who want to pay will pay even if the content is nearby, for free. Fans of the pirate code will be waiting for free versions in any case. Sooner or later, what difference does it make?
The person you are writing to had a simple idea in mind: a public demonstration of a white cloak on a pirate forum is a natural circus. Nothing more.
By all means, feel free to check my post history if you have doubts. That being said, I guess it must come as a unbelievable shock that there is something as a "gentleman's pirate code" around here where some of us get pissed off at others for hurting the hen that lays the eggs. Especially a hen who is not some billion dollar corporation, but a singular passionate being who willingly gives away the egg.
Pick your anger baggage and exit out of the nearest exist where the door doesn't hit you on the way out. No one is bashing piracy here. Only destructive behavior.
Based on the previous thought. The health of a chicken literally does not depend in any way on, apparently, 80% of the inhabitants of such forums. A few will still find a way to buy. Sometimes, if the developer himself gives such an opportunity.
Let's ask Mr.
paleGrass , will there be a sharp drop in subscribers next month, or immediately after the version is leaked? Without details, approximately or as a percentage, any option will suit. Will a significant number of paid subscribers suddenly decide not to pay for the game if the version was leaked earlier.
There is no code here. There are only individual people who have cultivated in themselves a basic dignity, based on which they will silently pay for the game on Steam or on other platforms. This is an individual trait(!). It's just that in some threads there are more of them, in others there are less.
And let me ask. Have you bought all the games you downloaded from this forum? Literally. Each? If not, then you are a pirate like everyone else, and you don’t have any made-up code.
With your permission, I will not pry into your browser's download history. The question is rhetorical.
...keep arguin about offtopic shit and thread will get a purging......
Shhh, be quiet, don’t light it up, maybe they don’t notice.
And in general, we are talking about lofty things here, about the future of the game
