VN - Ren'Py - Live to Fight [v0.6.8] [Grinder]

I really don't understand why all the high ratings, this game is pretty bad, i mean, the renders are great and the women hot, but just that doesn't justifies it. The writting is pretty bad, and it's obvious that the dev isn't a native english speaker, wich is okay, neither am i, but there is so many gramatical errors that it hurts, he doesn't know how to write something that is in the past ex: the mc says "i hurt myself training", while it should be something like " i hurted myself while training yesterday" and this continues through the entire game. The conversations are odd, emotionless, cringy, and feels like it's a robot talking, not a human. The story is kinda good, i mean, at least is original at some points, but because of the bad writting, it's wasted. The sex scenes are average at best, the animations aren't that good but it isn't bad, just...okay, but i do feel that they are very short.

I think this would be a 4 star, actually, but there's a reason for the 5 star rating.
It's a good game, with some minor translation issues. Good models, interesting story, but the "money" thing is a little confusing (not why, but technically). You can see that the developer is getting better with some more complex parts further in the game and the animations are getting a lot better too.
So the reason I'm giving this a 5 star despite the translation issues and slightly confusing money thing is that this game is surprisingly unsupported. I was shocked when I got to the patreon and saw how little patrons it has, considering the number of views it has here and how much content it has shown so far. And despite that, the developer still manages to keep going, understandably a little on the slower side. But it's still ridiculous and this should get a lot more support. It's unthinkable to ask for quicker releases when this good of a game only has 67 patrons.
The game isn't perfect and there's a lot that could be improved if it had more support, so please do it, if you can.

Fresh idea with good pacing and decent models so far. The translation could use a touch up but as it's still in development I can only assume that it's on the 'to do' list.

It's definitely not 'game breaking' but does become problematic in regards to the gravity of certain choices opening up further content deeper in to the game.

Ideally, I feel games should be played as they were intended by the developer but in this instance the use of a walkthrough is a bit of a necessity if you don't want to miss out on a bunch of content.

Excellent Adult Ren'Py VN with a more compelling and believable script/dialogue than most. Models are really quite good as well and it's honestly a good balance between the story and adult scenes and sex. The whole MMA story arc fits really well and it's got more character than the usual "MC moves in with Landlady and roommates and doesn't actually have a life while he goes around peeping on everyone at night." Also the decisions you make actually affect the gameplay and affect which characters you see more and do/don't have scenes with as the game progresses. I highly recommend it and look forward to future updates.

It has an interesting enough premise to hold the game up but it's overall pretty empty imo.

There's nothing exactly engaging me or making me want to know what comes next since a lot of it is just variations of the same routine. The constant cuts to the father demanding to know the MC's whereabouts doesnt serve to do much unless we start seeing him create a plan of his own

The renders are solid and what kept me interested in the game. Kat, Jess, Emma, Mrs. Johnson all grew on me pretty quickly

The writing however needs quite a bit of work, both in fluidity and complexity. There's quite a few grammatical errors and incorrect character tags that trip up the flow of the game. And the dialogue makes the characters, especially the MC and Mark, seem almost like Neanderthals with their peak persona being a dumb jock.

As for other aspects, there also happens to be quite a few missing images while although not as important, still serves to be a problem. We get a peek of very solid animation in the last sex scene before the update ends but up until that point, the animation had been pretty minimal

I'll stick with this game because I just want to see how the story progresses but there's still quite a bit of work that needs to be done

I'm going to have to give this game three stars. The story is interesting enough, but this game needs a lot of Polish. Missing images, mislabeled text boxes, grammatical errors, etc. Sill, the models and renders are serviceable, and the animation is decent. I'll definitely put this game on my watchlist. Maybe come back to it when it's complete and the kinks have been worked out.

t was a good game but not interesting story. The game begins and goes like the other games. The different option are just that the story has fights and you can't achieve every girl in a short time. But this make get sexier the game.

Story : Like I said, It's not a different game the other ones. But I admit it is a sexier game than the other ones.

Render: Renders is very good and the dev make better the renders in a every update. espacially recent updates.

Character: They are very sexy and attrective. And they don't similar each other. Just MC's mom and Mrs. Johnson are same person. If I don't remember wrong.

Animation: Animation could be better and a few more pozitions in every fuck.

Writting: Englis is not my native language and I improve my English day to day by playing kind of that games. İn this game stand out a lot of grammar mistakes. Sometimes I don't understand what they want to say. I hope the dev rewiews the texts and fix them.

This is a great game. The male protagonist is a cool guy. The plot and the fight aspect is really fun. Renders and girls are really beautiful and lewd scenes are hot too. I'm looking for the new updates in the future.

Another good game that could be 5 Star in the future, One character I hate is the Protag's friend Mark. EVERYTIME things are getting interesting between the protagonist & Mrs Johnson Mark turns up about as welcome as a fart in a crowded elevator. Other than that she is pretty much the most interesting possible love interest in the game, not to take anything away from the others but I had a similar experience with an older woman back in the day, I had known her years before anything happened. so yeah I have a personal interest in this part of the story. Just hope the creator makes a multi route thing where you can choose who you want to be with lol. Fingers crossed for the next update

Very Good Game. One of my Favourites. Good Graphics. Interesting Story. And the one thing I like the most is the MC who is a Boxer and a good one. This game is a good combo of action and romance. But it takes to much time to get updates. Please give more updates. I can't wait. Best Action-Romance game ever. Most Recommended. Hope updates will be faster. Thank you. Keep it on.

The game/novel is very good, but even so I swear, if it’s not possible to "move forward" with Mark’s mother in this version, I’ll abandon the game ... Every time it’s just in the preliminaries with her and to be honest , it’s the main reason I’m looking forward to each update.

4 stars, and its a shame. Because can be easily a 5*

The game have an story and a theme. And are original ones, not have been seen a gazillion of times. The graphics are good, you don´t feel pushed into relationships and the MC have some reasons for his behavior.

But...

The English it´s so-so, have an abuse of timecards that add nothing and breaks the flow of the story and the development of the secondary character it´s inconsistent. Fine with some of them, but there are others that seem forgotten. And have minigames. I never have seen the point of minigames in a story driven game.

All of the later issues are minor. The major one it´s that the enemy of the MC, as far of 4.9.5, have done nothing. And he should have.

The script could be better, and those minigames are suddenly placed, it was weird with bad hitbox. Have some interesting ideas, you should try to get a partner to help you to write the scenes. Don't give up and keep going!


edit: oh yeah, i forgot to say, but there's MUCH time card (those "later", "later on night"), and most of them are useless, because had just two or three lines between them

So this game is really awesome. I like the characters and the concept is pretty cool. I like games like this and I can see it becoming one of my favorites once it is finished especially if the quality improves a bit.

So I'm playing the game in English, not sure if there are other languages available but I must say at times the spelling and grammar is pretty rough. I can still understand all the conversations but the mistakes pile up and get slightly annoying. The other issue I have is that the game has problems remembering your choices. There is a girl early on that you help bring boxes to her house, if you refuse to have sex with her the game still thinks you did. Once again, not a deal breaker of an issue but continuity is important and it's not the only error of this type in the game

As I said earlier, the story, renders, and the setting makes the above issues easy to overlook but I fear that the game will always be a bit sloppy if those errors aren't fixed.

Definitely recommend the game in spite of the problems and I really hope I can improve my rating if these issues get hashed out.

This best game ever and very unique ,renders are best quality , well written realistic story and good dialogue, game play is amazing it put you really in the fight , the sex scenes are perfect , yeah very the best five star good job !!

This is one of the most beautiful stories on the platform. I absolutely love it. In other plays, the Main Character and other characters' relationships are often exaggerated. However, everything is normal in this story. I loved it a lot. Congratulations.

OK this game deserves a lot more love! I love the store, I love the characters.
The renders are decent. Man, I enjoy it.

First off: I like the MC. There is only a few games of these where I actual like the MC where he is not some Beta male perv. (Obviously I enjoy those game too, but most of the times they are a bit of a weakling douche bag).

There are a couple of other games with nice non douche Alpha male characters and I enjoy those a lot.

The redhead GF (ex) is the bomb, The friend's sister is so cute and have a crush on you. The friends mom is a real MILF with character to match. The bartender is sooo hot, the MMA training partner is a bad ass.

All in all a great cast with some other great male characters as well.

Minor...very minor critique.
Language can use some improvement. Not off putting at all, but some glaring grammatical errors.
The graphics are good and on par with most other games, but are not exceptional.

I wish more people will play and support this game.

This game is very unique , the renders are great , well written realistic story and good dialogue, the game play is amazing it put you really in the fight , the sex scenes are perfect , it deserve 5 stars for sure.

The best part of this game is the quality of the renders. They are excellent! The story isn't terrible but personally not my cup of tea, but that's subjective. I did find the over use of timer jumps annoying...i.e 15 minutes later...an hour later.... etc...etc... and it does feel like the story is mostly linear. There are a few choices to make here and there that will unlock certain scenes, that was cool.

Overall, I'd have to say it was quite good. 4 stars.
